Dear Mom and Dad,
So this week was really good. This week we have actually started
using the Branch list to find the inactives that seem to slip through
the ward's fingers. It has been pretty nice especially trying to
strengthen this branch. We also went to a branch activity this week
and that was really cool. We went a little out into the country and
we took some good pictures and everything like that. The weather was
wonderful and we had some nice aarts to drink. (It used to taste like
sour baby throw up but now it actually is tasting really good) So the
thing I learned the most about this week is I will really miss leaving
Mongolia. The branch activity made me realized how much I will miss
this branch even though I don't know them all that much. Well Mom it
is so good to know that everything is doing better for you. That
really makes me feel really really good. Also every week I am just
astounded by the closeness of the family back home. I am really just
amazed. Well I am happy because I haven't been able to see my breath
today. That has been amazing. So we placed some pass along cards to
my students which was cool. Well I will tell a cool story. So we
were riding on the bus when it broke down and we had to get off. Well
we broke down just at the spot where we happened to meet a really cool
man who will be a great investigator. It showed to me that God is
aware and he is constantly sending us prepared people. Well the Lord
is constantly looking for people to send to us but we have to see
them. Often times we can but we are just too afraid but love casteth
out all fear. Well I love you all and good luck.

SO Dear little girls,
So this week was really nice because it is getting really warm. It
is so nice to be able to feel warm for a while. Also, my language is
doing better even though I complain about it all the time. I really
am getting excited because it is getting warm. and I mean really
really excited. Sometimes I got kind of down when it was so dark and
cold but now it is all getting better. This week was just filled with
lessons and meeting with people. Right now all of our investigators
are having a hard time but we do have one little boy who is coming to
church. Me and my companion have managed to reactivate about 6
members while I have been in Chingletei which was pretty cool to see.
Well, Rachel the best words I could give to you is that in order for
our faith to grow we have to do the things the Lord asks of us. I know
that I also had problems too when I was in highschool with reading
scriptures but in order to grow we just have to read. The Book of
Mormon has a tremendous converting power and we just have to open it
up and read from it's pages. One thing I would suggest doing is
finding personal scriptures that can help you and marking these
scriptures. I have found that the times I feel the spirit most is
when I am marking scriptures. I admit that reading from the Book of
Mormon everyday has become a pleasure and a joy. Well Caelen, you
just keep being you and good luck with your last semester. Just be
awesome. And always remember to be sunny and not cloudy. The most
important thing to remember is cloudy is not fun for you or for
others. Being sunny lets your light shine before men. :) Rebecca,
the biggest way to let your light shine is for you to be good to all
men. or women. :) Our example really shows who we truly are and if
you follow Christ's example Christ becomes your light. I have noticed
this as I teach English. Just today we handed out three pass along

Dear Mom and Dad,

I admit this week was pretty good due to the fact that the weather is warming up. I am really doing pretty good. My language always improves so that is not a problem even if a do get down sometimes about how slow it is. Anyway it is getting warmer!!!!! So this week was kind of cool because we found 4 new investigators at the same time. It was really cool to see even if nothing comes out of them. So I am glad to know that Heavenly Father is answering the prayers to this family. It is actually amazing to see the growth of the family away while I am gone. I just read your emails every week and feel the spiritual power growing in our family. Well this week I learned several things. The first thing I learned is that I will really miss Mongolia when I leave. I realized that when I leave my area even though it was hard that I will kind of miss it. I also just learned how thankful for the peace that was in our family back at home. Our family through this gospel really didn't have any problems when it came to just living together. It has really struck me just how much the spirit influenced our house and our family. It was quite a learning experience for me. So I am glad to know that you are all having a good time up at the rock show. Thank you for buying a cool little thing for me even though I won't see it for a couple of years. I am really just glad you could all just kind of relax and be together as a family. Well I am just surviving here in the city of Mongolia. My language is improving and finally I am beginning to feel the understanding starting to rocket again. That is always the best thing. Well I really enjoy being able to email you all. I know that the Lord is helping all of you and that he will continue to help you. Thank you for your emails, your love and your righteous examples. I really can't wait to live the gospel like you. Dear Little Girls,
Well this week has been really good because the weather is warming up. It is really nice to feel the opposite process of weather. SO this week was pretty good. We had mission conference and we heard from Elder C. Scott Grow. A couple of General conferences ago he gave a talk on the atonement. Well it was really cool and I really had a spiritual time. Well this week the language is getting better. I am just working as hard as I can and that is all I can really do. I am doing okay so far and the language always improves even if it small and I don't understand why it isn't clicking. It always keeps improving though. So this week has really been a beautiful week. Well Rachel, I hope you get the sleep you need. I also am so glad that you got a BYU sweatshirt. When you go there you can wear it all the time. Well Rebecca it sounds like you had a good time up at the rockshow. I really wish I could see all your stuff but obviously that is a little hard right now. Well just have a good time and smile. Well Caelen, it doesn't matter what others think about your stuff. You like it and that is all that matters. By the way I never thought peanut butter came about that way but it makes sense. I'm so sorry about last week. The internet died write when I sent your letter and I had to go. I am telling the truth and I really felt terrible last week. Any way I am so glad you had a wonderful time at the rock show. It sounds like it was a blast. Hey when I come back we need to eat at Los Hermanos. The idea of mexican food really doesn't exist here very well. Well this week has been pretty good. The weather is really beginning to warm up. I can actually now see out the bus windows and my breath is a little harder to see. It is so weird thinking how a day can be so warm when it is actually still decently cold. Well the concert you were at sounds like it was great. I also really enjoyed the fact you got to go with your friends. Well my language is getting better. I am really beginning to get around the curtain of understanding. I can understand a lot more now even if my speaking still isn't perfect. I just have to keep moving. Dear Mom and Dad,

Thank you for your words of kindness and helping me. Even all the
way over here in Mongolia I can feel your help and I am so grateful
for your prayers. Well it sounds like you are all doing well. I am
really glad you are all able to go to rock show. I think that will be
really good for the family and I wish I could be there to stare down
the stone chess board again. Well, this week has been pretty good. I
am doing better in the language. The biggest difference I am
beginning to notice is that I am able to at least show my personality
through the language a lot better. That is the biggest issue for me
since that was at one point of time hard in English. Well I really am
doing better. I can't believe Jordan is almost home. That just
sounds ridiculous. That just shows how fast time flies. Well this
week the weather got a little colder but it warmed up nicely today. I
just can't wait until I don't have to wear a coat anymore. That is
the coolest thing. Anyway this week we had district conference and it
was nice to go and sit with a new member that finally came after not
coming for five months in a row. It is the first time we have gotten
her to come to church and she throughly enjoyed it The most important
thing I learned this week is that the Lord is helping me no matter
what. I don't know how but that is just something I felt this week.
Well tomorrow our mission conference starts which will be really fun.
We have some other missionaries coming over and will stay with us.
They came in from the countryside. So tonight will be interesting.
Anyway it has been a really pretty good week. I am still teaching
English and it is still kind of not fun but I will just keep on going.
The one thing I learned is that I don't want to be a teacher. But
this is always a good thing. I might want to be a seminary teacher
but that is the most teacher job I will now possibly become. I am
still with the same companion. We will be together for about 5 months
total which was really a long time. Well I am glad to hear from all
of you and I wish you all have a fun time at the rock show. I love
you all and realize that I am doing just fine. I love you and I hope
you all can catch up on that hour of sleep you lost.

SO little Girls,
you bain? That is what's up. Anyway this week has been pretty
good. My Mongolian is always getting better even if it is really
slow. I also am able to show more of my personality with others which

It is always good to see your pictures and I am glad you like bow and
arrow movies. I have not yet seen a bow though. Well Rebecca, it
sound like you are having a good time in Mads. Tell them I love them
and let them know that just because they didn't make it doesn't mean
that your last concert can't blow people away. TENOR POWER!!!! I
hope they remember that. Also Rebecca remember that everything will
turn out alright. Things are different now but that doesn't mean

Dear Mom and Dad,
So this week I am doing pretty good. I taught English and that
seems to be going good. I also am a little down because sometimes I
feel like I still can't teach in this language. The truth is that I
am improving but I can never see my progress. Oh well the only way to
go is up. I just feel like I am learning the hardest language in the
world some time. I mean only in Mongolian would you say "We church to
go to need be" and mean that you need to go to church. It is hard
sometimes. Oh well other than that it was a good week. We have some
really good new investigators now which are making things nice and
they really seem to want to learn. Well Mom thank you for your
letter. I heard about your tattoos and Dad is right, you need to get
a motorcycle too. Well I am glad to hear that you are doing better.
I know that you are doing well and that you will do fine. Well I do
remember those good old Madrigal days and must say that I really
enjoyed them. That is good that you met Kassie though. She was a
really good singer and had quite a good effect on the choir. She
always made me and the others around her happy and that is what I
remember most about her. Well that was fun. I will try to get you
more photos. I will get some to you today hopefully. Well really
time is beginning to fly. Sometimes it is quite ridiculous but I just
keep working. So this week I was a little sick but I got some
medicine from the mission doctor and have been doing fine since. I
have to admit I am kind of sick of buuz right now because all of them
I have eaten but eventually the good taste will come back. Me and my
companion are doing fine, so there is now problem there. I am just
really wanting to become better in this language!!!! But I will. I
just need to rely on the Lord. That is really the key. I just need
to be still and know that He is God. I need to wait on his time
whether it is not quick enough for me or not. I just need to
communicate and everything will work out good. Well thank you for
listening to my rambling. But seriously, I was reading my favorite
hymn 105 and read peace be still. It occurred to me that everything
will be okay because everything in the end will work out for my good.
I know that is also the same in all of your lives.

Dear Little Sisters,
It is good to know that all of you can now join the US Olympic
team as cross country skiers. I always knew you had it in you. It
sounds like you all could do anything really. Well, that was quite an
amazing experience. SO this week has been pretty good. I am just
waiting for the warm weather. I really just am having fun not having
to slip on ice all the time because it has at least melted off the
main road. We found one investigator that really actually wants to
meet with us which has been really neat. She really seems interested
and I think she will be baptized. We also found another pair of
investigators that insist on me calling them Grandpa and Grandma. It
is really kind of fun and they think that I am so cute and innocent
just because I really can't speak the language good. It is actually
kind of fun even though I understand more than they give me credit
for. I am a little down right now because I can't teach the greatest
in Mongolian but the only way to go is up and that is what I have to
realize. Well Caelen, next time you need more so's. That clearly

Sorry the best story I have to tell is about a dog that tried to eat
me and another Elder alive. We walked around the corner and saw a dog
about the proportion of Shylo but about 300 pounds heavier. If it
wasn't for a rock thrown out of my companions pocket it would have
been several shots for me. Well this week has been pretty good.
Thank you so much for reminding me of warmth. Not really I kind of
miss it. :) Well thank you for fasting for me. I need all the help
I can get right now. I just feel like I really need to learn to speak

Dear Mom and Dad,
This week was really fun. Next week I will get some photos to
you. This week I forgot the cord so please forgive me. I really am
enjoying myself even though it was a little weird because I really
couldn't teach people. Anyways I ate 106 buuz (dumpling) That all in all is
actually a small amount for tsagaan sar. I did get a deel and I got a
fur hat. I really am having a pretty good time. Well we went to a
lot of families over the holiday which was nice but today I had to
start teaching English again which was not really fun. Oh well, it
does kind of help me once and a while. I am glad to hear that you got
to see some of my pictures. The Ford's are actually leaving this week
so you won't be able to see their blog really well. I am also sorry
to hear about the VISA's problems for Jacob or Elder Barrie now. I
admit that even though we didn't get temporarily reassigned the
thought process of it is sometimes kind of hard. By the way I did get
your package which I have really been enjoying and I also got Grandma
Rawle's package. The scarf she sent me is really a nice scarf. I
can't believe that Jordan is coming home. how is that possible? I
bet Aunt Bec is pretty excited. Also Jamie is coming home too? I
also can't believe that. I am really doing well right now due to the
fact that it is warming up. That really makes it nice. I love you

Dear Sisters,
What is going new in Cedar City Utah? It sounds like all of you
are officially the rock climbers of the world. And Becky I know you
could have made it to the top but you probably saw a cute boy at the
bottom and decided to go down earlier. Well this week has been pretty
good. We really aren't allowed to teach so that was weird but we did
get to eat a lot of food. So I ate 106 buuz or the little dumplings
that they feed to us. The cool thing was I really learned how to chew
my food really well. I also got really good at chewing things that
didn't actually exist in my mouth. So this week I bought a deel or
the traditional robe thing I was wearing. I also bought a hat. I'm
not sure if you saw the hat that was mine. It was yellow furred and I
think my companion is wearing it in some pictures but it is mine. Well Caelen, I am really glad about all the stuff you tell me. Hey, don't worry about what you told your
teacher. It helped her and it made her day better so don't worry.
Also thank you for the camel picture. Rachel, you made it all the way
to the top. You are so strong. Before my mission I couldn't get up
the wall myself but now the wind could just blow me up. :) Well
Rebecca it is good to know that you are having a good time serving
people. Sometimes serving people does help others feel good but more
often yourself. I'm so glad of your example. Hey good luck and I
hope all of you have a peaceful week and enjoy the good weather that
is starting to come in.

I weight about 205 pounds. Yeah even I can't believe it because when
I was a freshmen in highschool I was weighing this much. I really am
glad you wrote me. Your letters just make me happy.Well another week
in this cold land that is becoming nicer everyday. I ate 106 little
dumplings but that is quite a lot for me. Well I thank you for praying for me.
Sorry I really haven't been able to write a lot about the stories.
It is just sometimes I kind of have to hurry and write because my
companion sometimes doesn't understand that I am almost half way
around the world from my home. Oh well, if I ever get with an
American I will have a lot more time. Anyway I love you and I hope

Dear Mom and Dad,
This week has been a really good week. I have had some really good
experiences with the language. So I went on an exchange with another
guy in my district so that means we both can't speak the language
really well. But I realized I can actually teach and speak much much
better than I thought. It is just that when I am with my really
companion I choke. So I learned that the spirit can work through me
through Mongolian. I am really excited about that. Well I am still
with my trainer and even after the new transfer we haven't split up.
I have only had two companions so far in the mission field and so I
really kind of wanted a change but now I realize it doesn't matter
what I want but what the Lord wants. I am hoping Mom is okay. It
sounds like the surgery took a lot out of her. I am really glad she
seems to be getting better though. So please tell everyone that is
helping pay for my mission how grateful I am for them. This mission
means a lot for me and I am really amazed at the sacrifices others are
making for little me. I sometimes feel I don't deserve it but I just
need to keep helping people. Well this week we really won't teach any
lessons which will be kind of weird because this week is a national
holiday. People will get offended if we even pull out our scriptures
so I will just get to eat the whole time which I guess will be pretty
nice until I am about to explode. I really am happy about the
language though, When I have to speak I can normally do just fine.
It is just when I am with someone that is a missionary and can speak
Mongolian that is tough. I love all of you and remember that no
matter what trials or pain we go through the Lord will be with us. I
am really taking that promise seriously right now because the Lord is
helping me and my companion and my district and I can feel it. I love
you and wish you all a wonderful week.

Dear Sisters,
Thank you so much for all your wonderful letters. SO I got my new
transfer information a couple days ago and guess what!!......Well
nothing changed. I admit being with one companion for this long is a
surprising but I will make the best of it. I am so glad all of you
are doing well back at home. So Beppy, you made it into BYU?!!!! Of
course you would you little physics girl you. Just think about it.
By the time I get back you will have done more college than I have.
That is really weird to think about. So my favorite food here is what
is called hoorshoor which is a fried dumpling pretty much. It really
reminds of the food dad had in Argentina but I can't remember the
name. Also my favorite drink is called herum and it is made up of
salt, milk and well that is pretty much it. It really is
actually quite good. So my golden investigator went to the country
for a while but should be returning and she really wants to learn.
Rachel it sounds like you are doing wonderful. I admit I could use a
little St. George heat myself. But it is almost warm enough to not
have to wear my scarf all the time. Caelen, you go and tackle Mt.
Snowmore for me. You should take a picture for me and if you don't
send it just keep it for later. Well, I'm so glad for all the
wonderful girls you all have been. Right now the biggest holiday of
the year is coming wear I could up eating 200 dumpling or more. I am
really grateful for all of you and pray that my stomach will not
explode. :) I love you and just keep being the wonderful little
girls you are.
