So this week has been really good this week. My new companion is
Elder Verdusco and he is from San Francisco. His family is from
Mexico and so he can speak Mongolian, Spanish and English. He is
really great and already I can tell he has been called to my area for
a reason. We already have some very good possible investigators lined
up for tonight. So my Mongolian is coming along and I guess it always
will get better but the thing I have to realize is that I am better
than I think I am. My self confidence has always been a problem but I
think that I can speak better than I believe I can. Especially
through the Lord's help I can speak almost anything even if it doesn't
make sense to me. So I got to listen to General Conference this week
and I loved it so much. I felt the spirit so strongly the whole time
and I really enjoyed every single talk. I have so much more guidance
now and I am so grateful for the Lord giving us this opportunity to
hear from his living representatives. The weather has got really nice
and it is beautiful today. I don't have to wear an outside coat
anymore. It does help to have some more light and heat. So the thing
I learned the most from conference was....well alot. I really liked
Elder Bednar's talk and I also really enjoyed President Uchtdorf's
talk and President Eyring's talk and the list just goes on and on. I
did learn that I really want to change who I am and I want to be more
like the savior. I know so much now through all the Conference talks.
Well it sounds like you are all having a wonderful time back at home.
Mom, it is good to know that you have organized your troops to go to
battle against the weeds. Also Dad, I am curious to know how that
copper bracelet turns out. There are a lot of Mongolians that wear a
solid copper bracelet around their wrists. (I hope it isn't a medical
reason) (apparently eating horse meat takes away a cold) (Or wolf
meat) So I am glad to know that you are all just enjoying spring. I
hope Elder Barrie can get his VISA. Though I know that he is doing
great in Oklahoma. So over 1/3 of my mission is over? I really don't
count. The only thing I do count here is when I don't have to teach
English over the summer break. Well I thank you for all of your
prayers and I know that you are all doing well with the Lord's help.
Tell the family I appreciate all their examples. I love you and wish
you all good luck.
Dear Little girls (but getting bigger (hopefully not fatter)) :)
So this week has been pretty good. It has been really great to
hear from you all. So my companion is a great guy named elder
Verdusco. He can speak spanish, Mongolian, and English. It is pretty
sweet. So I did manage to listen to all the sessions of General
Conference and let me just say that is was amazing. I learned so
much. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be able to hear from
the living prophets and apostles. I have so much more guidance now,
for the future and for my mission. I admit I didn't take notes on
only just one talk. yeah that was the one about the Relief Society.
But I did pay attention the whole time. Well the thing I liked the
most was just how much I want to change. Right now I really just want
to grind down and accept all my priesthood duties. I learned that the
we get to hear from our prophet for these very reasons. We need to
understand and apply the things we need to change. Well it sounds
like Caelen that you will have another really fun game to play in a
few months. That really is awesome and go and put your BREAD in the
toaster. Remember you get toast from a toaster. :) So Rachel you
little ninja you, keep up the good work. So for the answer, no I
haven't listened to it yet but that is not because I don't want to.
It is just hard to get to listen to it when everyone is all around you
in the internet cafe. If you want to, later this year or even this
coming Christmas send it on a CD. So Rebecca I am so grateful you had
a good time at family testimony meeting. That sounds really cool. We
also need to think about how our will needs to mirror the will of the
Savior. The thing I always think about is how Jesus Christ always,
always followed the will of the father no matter what he was put
under. We need to submit our will the same way he did. It also makes
you realize how much Jesus and God love us. They have given us all
the opportunities to be happy in this life. We just have to follow
them and then no matter what comes we will be happy. Well, little
sisters I love you and remember that the Lord is always watching over
you. Remember that the Lord will be on your right hand and on your
left if you just trust him. I love you and good luck. Elder
Dear Kristalyn,
So the Easter Bunny didn't come here but if you want to know the
direct translation of Mongolian of Easter is the Red Egg Holiday.
Well Conference was wonderful. I really enjoyed President Uchtdorf's
talk on how we all need to be forgiving and not let experiences damage
our view of others. Well you are going on dates? Shame on you. JK
:) Kristalyn the advice I could give you on family is not that hard.
The fact is that there are many families around you that you may not
notice. Sometimes that hardest times of families are when the parents
are students. In my opinion how wonderful would it be if you could
just give one of those young mothers a plate of cookies or just make
their day a little happier? That is what I plan to do is just make
these little struggling families happier. I am not saying you have to
do it but that is my advice on how to strengthen families even when
they are not your own. Well I know that if you serve others this will
cause all the loads you have to become lighter. Well I love you and
keep up the good example. Elder Williams
