Dear Mom and Dad,
SO today was a really good day but slightly bitter sweet. We went
up to the country and played some sports for about six hours. The
reason we did is because one of the elders out of our MTC group is
going home because of an injury in the MTC. It was cool and we all
got to have a good time with the other elder. He is doing well but he
has to go back. It is possible that he could come back but it would
be hard. Anyway, it was cool because I carried him down the mountain
for quite a ways just because he really can't walk to far on his foot.
I was the biggest so I obviously carried him for the longest distance
but it was still fun. So because of that I really can't write that
much this week. Today was really busy and also that fact is that we
might be homebound during the elections due to the riots that seem to
take place here. Don't worry about me, I will be fine. The one thing
I have come to realize is that the Lord is with us no matter where we
go. So the language is coming along good and now people are all
complimenting on my language skills. The secret was that I just had
to open my mouth more. Oh well. The curse of Elder Williams. So
anyways I am always just striving to talk more and now small; talking
is becoming a little easier. So I am just having a good time. It
sounds like both of you are having a wonderful time back at home. I
hope you both have fun up at the cabin. The weirdest thing this next
week is that I will be 20 this coming Sunday. That doesn't feel
right. I still feel like I am 18. Well that doesn't really matter
except that instead of being a dumb 19 year old I will be a dumb 20
year old. :) Well sorry the email couldn't be that long but I was
really busy today. Next week I will write something for the big
family if you want. I am a little apprehensive about this coming
transfer because I could be put in as a Senior companion or there is a
little possibility of trainer. I don't really want that now and so I
admit I am a little scared but my thoughts are that the Lord won't do
that quite yet. Anyway I love you all and I wish you all the best of
luck.   Love Elder Williams

Dear Little Sisters, It is so good to hear from you. Sorry I won't
be able to write a whole lot today because I am really busy. We went
up and visited the Mongolian countryside and it was just gorgeous. It
was just so cool looking and it was like nothing I am really ever
experienced. The sad part is that I didn't get any photos but next
time I will send a whole bunch to you. Well it sounds like all of you
are having a really good time. Rachel, the temple really is a special
place and it is only through going to the temple that we can see what
is really important about life. It isn't about the people we know, or
how famous we get but the great thing about life is to have joy
through the gospel. Caelen, it sounds like you are having a great
time reading and don't tell me anything about any books because I want
to read them. Also just keep remembering great movie lines just for
me. Rebecca, yes being 20 does sound a little strange but so does you
sounding 18. Well my birthday should be a great day just because it
is Sunday. Hopefully a lot of investigators come. Don't wreck
Kristalyn's new car if you drive it. :) Anyways little girls I love
you all and I wish you all the best of luck. Love Elder Williams

Dear Kristalyn,
YOU GOT A CAR!!!!!!!  I am so jealous of you baikhgui you.  I am
really just wanting to sit down and drive.  I haven't driven in
forever.  So that is really cool and I hope you are a little richer in
the coming months.  I am glad to hear that you got to see Brandon but
that is also really hard at least according to my hearing.  Wish him
luck from me.  Well this week was good but I can't write a lot today
just because I am a little busy.  Anyways today I got out and viewed
the Mongolian country side and it was really cool.  It looked just
like it did in the twilight movie just because it was raining.  Anyway
send me a real picture of your car and then  I will really talk to
you.  I love you and just keep being the greatest little pixie sister
in the world.  I love you.  elder Williams

Dear Mom and Dad,
So this week has really been a great week. I have learned so
much. So first we had an emergency transfer because my old companion
became zone leader. SO now I am with Elder Woodward and he is a great
elder. I have learned alot about the work in the last couple of days.
First, I learned that I am getting so much better in the language.
It is really great being able to understand everything and being able
to invite people so much easier. I also learned what it means to love
the people. I made a goal to completely step out of my comfort zone
this last week and have completely done it. In the process I began to
realize just how much I love the people in Mongolia. I also learned
that sometimes we need to be very bold in asking our commitments from
people. Yesterday I was bold and forward and in the end it all helped
us all. So one great story from this week. So yesterday I was out
walking in the ger districts and we saw that we were going to pass
three guys. Two of them were drunk and the other was sober. So we
walked by them and then the called us over. (Drunks always talk to
us) Well I walked straight up to one of them and shook his hand. We
talked for quite a while and in the end I made friends with three
drunks. (The other two drunks introduced me to a third drunk as their
American friend) So I did have some fun with them but the thing I
enjoyed was first they were really suprised at how quickly we learned
the language, and also I think we made an impression on the sober man.
He really did seemed really suprised at how friendly and open we were
with them. It was really cool. So this week really has been a good
week. So it sounds like everything at home is doing fine. I hope all
of you have a good trip up north. I am glad that Heavenly Father
allowed us to have that moment. I have no doubt that the Spirit
guided me in writing that. It really wasn't me but it was completely
the spirit. It was really cool because when I was writing that
because when I look back, the idea just popped into my head and I was
never even thinking about it before. The Lord truly does guide each
and every one of us. So the one cool thought that I have had lately
was that when we sacrifice for the lord we find what we are looking
for. It is amazing the blessings we recieve by giving things away. I
was reading in Mongolian yesterday and the quote was by Joseph Smith.
I can't remember it because I can't directly translate it but it
stated that the only true church has to be a church where we are
willing to give up everything for God's sake. I hope that I can
someday be able to say that I would be willing to give up everything
for the Lord's sake just like Job. I love you all so much and
appreciate the sacrifices you have made for me. I have had my eyes
opened to the things that are really important in this life and when
my mission is finished I know right where I am going. I love you all
so much and good luck.  Elder Williams

Dear Little Sisters,
It sounds like you are all having a great time. I hope you are
really enjoying your summer because I am too. I get just a little
depressed when I think about the fact that I have to go through
another rough Mongolian winter. Anyway one of you asked me a question
as to what I do during the summer. I will still work just like
any other missionary. The only thing we are not allowed to do is to
talk to people about our church unless they ask from us and we can
always ask people for investigators to teach when they are church
members or have invited us into their house. So really I am just like
any other missionary in the world except we just don't go tracting. So
I got a new companion. There was an emergency transfer because my
companion was just moved to zone leader. I am now with Elder Woodward
and it is really great being with him. The last several days I have
really noticed something. I am really loving meeting with people
here. Just over the last two days I really tried to step out of my
shy zone (which has gotten a lot bigger since back at home) and it was
so rewarding. I just enjoyed it sooo much. I just kept like wanting
to talk to people and my language skills are really quickly coming
along. It is a beautiful thing. when you really care about other
people it can make you do anything. I am just having a good time out
here and I am really beginning to feel like the missionary I want to
be. I have been feeling the spirit guide me a lot more over the last
several days and it has been great. So Rachel, your hair looks fine
and you can now look just like vin in mistborn. I am also glad you
learned so much from Mom and Dad. Take advantage of the opportunity
to ask them questions. So Caelen, it sounds like you are doing good.
Don't worry about the picture but still send your testimony if you
can. Also you should put something cool on my ceiling if you can. My
stars are gone so that doesn't really matter. So Rebecca, my college
girl you, it sounds like you are doing great. Good luck with your
college classes. I am glad that I wrote about something that you
could relate to. Well the thing I liked about today is about the many
scriptures that state that if we lose our life for Jesus Christ's sake
we will find it. I am not taking this so literally but the thing I
learned was that if we sacrifice our lives to help build up this
church and make sacrifices for the gospel. If we do this we can
actually find the life we have been wanting. I believe that if we
follow God's commandment we are not giving up freedom but finding it.
I love this part about the gospel. If you have a chance all of you
should look for a church movie called Treasures in Heaven and it is
about the life of John Tanner. I would suggest watching because it is
sooooo spiritual. I love it so much and I feel like it drives my
point home. Well if not just remember that only through the gospel can
we actually obtain a fullness of joy. I love you all and good luck.
Elder Williams

Kristalyn,  Why would I be sorry for having sisters?  You have all
been a wonderful example for me and I don't need a brother.  (Just
marry a good guy)  :)  It really has been good growing up with four
girls instead of a boy.  I really can see how it has helped me grow.
I am glad that was the case.  Well, SO this week was good and I made
some great friends (they were all drunk) which was a blast.  (kind of)
So really I talk to drunks a lot.  I am so glad you are going to the
temple.  It is so wonderful being there.  I just really can't wait to
where I can step back into those holy doors and just leave like I am
on top of the world.  I feel like the temple gives us a different
perspective of eternity,  It makes us realize that eternity is not
that far away and that we can make it.  I just hope you always
remember that.  Don't ever forget that you can endure to the end.  You
can and I am so happy that I am completely confident saying that about
everyone in our family.  God loves us and so he has given us the way
to go back and be with him.  I love you and good luck.  Elder Williams

Dear Mom and Dad,
At first I will answer your questions so I don't forget them. So,
my branch is a really strong branch. Many good member are in it and
try really hard to live the gospel. I don't really need anything to
give to the youth or anything like that but the one thing I would like
is a testimony about how the gospel has helped each of you. I will
translate them and if they will help an investigator then I will use
it to help them. I might not even do that, it all depends what the
spirit prompts me but I would still like each of your testimonies.
Dad, the Mongolian Elders have complete proselyting freedom in
Mongolia. They can do anything. It is just us. We can not approach
people on the street and talk to them but if they ask us questions we
are allowed to answer. The hard part is that we are a full time
missionary and even though we have a space of about two hours a day we
teach english, we still meet with just as many people as the
Mongolians. We still go out and work out in our area every day the
whole day and we get new investigators through referrals. In fact
yesterday I just placed a referral that hopefully will go well. He
seemed eager to meet us on the phone. They also do have a Called to
Serve in Mongolian. Well this week we met with a few people but
recently our investigators have kind of dropped in numbers. Just none
of them seem to progress that well. We have one really good
investigator that went to the countryside that sounds like he could be
golden but in Mongolia the biggest curse is people randomly leaving to
go camping for three months. Well apart from that the area is doing
pretty good. This week we dug a out house and we also moved a ger.
It was all in one day and we all ended up really muddy but it was
really fun to get to see the people in our branches. Well the thing I
learned today that really kind of struck me was just how much that
Heavenly Father gives us in order to make us grow. I looked back on
my life this morning and realized just how much He has done for me.
He has given me grandparents that are strong in the gospel. He has
given parents that have taught me all about the gospel and how to be a
good person. He has given me wonderful siblings. He has put me in a
ward where He knew I would have great examples. He sent me on a
mission to where He knew I would have to grow the most. I admit on
this mission I have been really humbled. I realize now just how much
we need to rely on the Lord in everyday lives. I also realized that
God will always provide a way for us to do things he command us. I
realize just how much God is trying to make each of us one of his
"precious stones" Well it sounds like all the things at home are
going alright. I hope that my room is okay even though I admit right
now I don't really care. I have kind of stopped caring about things I
own. One of the things in Mongolia is that everyone is very sharing.
Now I still have to watch out on how much I give out, but I feel the
Lord has placed me here to say "Hey Elder Williams, stop caring so
much about thing that don't matter." Well it sounds like all of you
are doing great at home and I wish you all luck. I am thankful for
your prayers and I want you to know that I pray for all of you too. I
love you and I wish you all good luck.
Love Elder Williams

Dear Little Sisters,
SO little girls how is life?  SO this week has been pretty good
but it was also really muddy out in my area.  My nice sunday shoes got
a little less nicer.  To be honest I might have to take them into a
shoe fixer pretty quickly.  The funny thing is that there are shoe
fixers like on every block.  We met with a lot of people and my
language skills are still coming along.  I am really beginning to
understand just about everything someone says to me even though I
can't quite repeat back the grammar they used.  So my companion
started teaching at a little preschool this week so I get to sit in
the back and try to remember the vocab I learned before. So this week
I really learned that Heavenly Father really cares about us. This
morning I realized just how much God has really given to us. He
really cares about each of us. He has given me a wonderful life
despite the trials and things that I experience. He has given me a
life that when I look back at it so far, I realize just how much He
has had a hand in my life. It was just a really spiritual experience
this morning. Well I just want all of you to really take a good long
hard look at your life and just see what He has given each of you.
Once you see one thing, it just keeps coming and before to long the
spirit is testifying to you that God has let you experience all these
things to make you grow. I would like each of you to try and just
really see God's hand in your life and how He is trying to develop
each one of you. He is trying to make each one of you His jewels. It
is kind of like Dad grinding. It takes quite a bit of time to make
each stone shine and it is that process through which Heavenly Father
is leading each of you. Well, I am glad that you are all having a
good day. Caelen, it sounds like you are having a good day. By the
way if that is your new hair style in the picture you sent me you look
great!! and if it isn't then I'm sure that looks great too!! Well
Rebecca I like how you anticipated the jokes I would have made about
you in the email. The thing is, that before you can get into limbo
you have to jump high enough to get in and I just don't see you doing
that. :) So Rachel, it sounds like you are having a great week and
a lot of good experiences. I can just see in your email how much you
have grown in one year. It really is quite interesting. SO it sounds
like all of you tried to ruin my bedroom. But if you had kept the
water on you could have gone swimming down in my room. That sounds
like that would be fun. SO my little sisters, just keep your light
shining before men and remember that I love you and I wish you all the
luck in the world. Love Elder Williams

Dear Kristalyn,
It is so great to hear from you.  It sounds like you are having a
great week.
:)  So this week has been great but muddy.  I will send a few more
pictures next week of me in the mud.  You and a car sounds just great.
You should keep it for meeeeee!!  JK  kind of.  Well that is really
cool and it would be really cool to have it with Rebecca.  So just
forget whatever is happening between you and your friends.  Don't let things
like that bother you.  You should try having a companion that you
don't like.  You can't get away from them.  :)  Anyway so things are
going fine here in Mongolia.  I am just as the Mongolians say it
baij lth bain.  SO know also that you will see Mousie more so don't
get to sad.  He will always be here because you know what,  he is me.
So tonight we get to have a FHE and I am excited.  I wish you luck and
I love you.  Love Elder Williams
