 Dear Mom and Dad,
So Mom........ Happy Birthday to you!!!!! Happy Birthday to
you!!!!! Happy Birthday dear Mommy!!!!!!! Happy Birthday to
You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. So if I heard correctly you are now 51?!!!
Wow!!!!! SO anyway I really hope you had a wonderful birthday. I
love you and appreciate you soooo much. So first about my week. SO I
started out the week with a new companion. His name is Elder
Gantogtoh and he is a wonderful young man and he will be a wonderful
full time missionary. But another Elder in my district named Elder
Neuberger joined us as a threesome for several weeks because his short
term missionary had a health problem and he had to go home. So for
the last week we have been working in two areas teaching two englishs
and going to choir practice for out short term missionary. This week
has been hectic. and on top of that I am moving away from unur this
Friday. i am moving to the Hailaast branch and will be the new
district leader there. My new companion will be Elder Robbins from
Las Angeles. Also it is official that there will be more americans
sent to Mongolia if they can get visas. Well also this week I slipped
and fell :( But I came in second place out of the competition. It
was funny. So that day we went up to an area in my area called zuun
salaa. Well we went up there and our feet were so cold that it
literally almost hurt to walk. but after a few minutes of fast
walking they kind of warmed up. So as our feet were freezing my
companion Elder Neuberger started jumping up and around to warm up his
feet. But as he did so he slipped on the solid ice street and fell
and that was when I came in second place. Unfortunately that same
night I slipped and fell while literally just standing. AS I said
before the roads are literally just solid ice. When I was back in
Chingeltei we actually saw a man ski down a whole mountain. .....but
he only had shoes on. So I finally have fallen. That is so cool to
know that you are all still doing the wss, and I hope that you are all
spreading the christmas joy. That is neat to know that you are with
talking with Carmen mom. It will really help her when she finally is
brought the chance to listen to the gospel. Well I actually managed
to read Cameron's letter about the puppy before this I actually read
Cameron's letter and it is good to know that we are in in reality the
same people. :)) So I can't believe that he is almost done. That is
crazy fast. Well my release date is going to be the last week of July
probably the 31st. I figure it is okay to say it now because all of
the other elders are. So anyways it will be just about 2 years. So I
am glad that BYU beat Utah. I can go now and rub that in to the faces
of a few elders. Just kidding I would never do that. :) Don't worry
about the shirts. It will be fine if they are thinner. To be honest
the thicker materialed shirts are harder to clean. Well the weather
is sooo cold here that when you open a door to a warm house the entire
thing acts like you do when you breath. You just see all this mist
and steam from the warm air touching the cold air. It is pretty cool.
Also you know it is cold when you step into a nice inside warm gym
and realize that you can still see your breath. So I played some
basketball and actually did pretty good. Well everything else is just
normal this week. Except we really haven't taught that many lessons
this week due to just the hectic schedule. Well I don't know if you
sent me a package as of yet or not but it sounds like I got one just
now. That is what one of the elders just told me. Well thanks for
everything and I love you all so much. By the way, Mom could you send
me the recipe to your homemade hot chocolate. I found some cocoa and
am really wanting to use it. Well I love you both and good luck.
Love Elder Williams

 So Dear Fantastic Sisters,
This week has been really interesting and if you want to learn
about it read the other email. So to be honest it is cold. :) But I
got a good coat and am doing fantatstic. (But I do look really fat
with my coat but the problem is that first it is cool to look fat in
Mongolia and second my now skinny neck look really funny wearing the
coat sometimes) But other than that it is a great coat. (I feel like
a sumo in the coat and without it I feel like Bigbird) Well also I
now have two companions which you can learn about it my other email.
Well I am just doing work over here in the land of the blue sky.
Soooooo, Rebecca, the book that I referred to is actually available
at the LasHermanasElephants publishing website. (Good luck on finding
it) that is www.lashermanaselephants.
doesn'texistandwillneverexistever.com.
Great Website!!!! So by the way since you didn't argue to that fact
that you didn't have a boyfriend I will assume that you do and I think
that you should tell me his name. Well I could really use some hot
chocolate right now. You should send me some already made hot
chocolate through the mail. it would be fantastic. So anyways good
luck up there at Byu and good luck with all of your tests. Just know
that I will be giving a test to students in a few days. I hope they
all fail!! (and no... I didn't forget sarcasm.) Well, Rachel, I
can't wait to see you over skype. It will be so fun and I really want
to see how much you have grown. Good job with pudge. You are doing a
good job over there. Well speaking of dogs I have many stories with
dogs and one of the best ones is I walked out of a ger and the dog was
sitting right outside the ger on the doorstep. Well if you don't know
about things in Mongolia dogs here are......well not nice. So as this
really big dog was about to bite me I made a choice. So remember how
I would use to play with shylo and put my foot in his mouth and then
he would wrestle? Well yeah I did just that. I put my foot in this
big dog's mouth. And he really wanted to bite me. But thanks to my
practice with shylo I saved myself from a rabies shot. So a dog story
for you. Also keep up the baby sitting. So I am so ready for the
awkwardness of single's ward. Awkwardness here I come!!!!! WEll
Rachel thanks for praying for me and keep up the good work. By the
way minii mend Bethany-d hurgeerei. (Say hello to her for me. Well
Caelen, how much have you really grown? I am scared that people are
mistaking you for someone in a singles ward. You are not allowed to
look old so I have a solution. .......(Drum roll please)........stop.
:) Well I can't wait to see how much you have grown over skype too.
So I hope that you don't have a boring week this next week. And I
can't wait to see the tie. Also send me a picture of all the really
cool decorations at the house. So all of you little girls need to
promise me something. Stop growing up!!!!! :) Well anyways good
luck this next week and I love all of you. Love Elder Williams

Dear Kristalyn,
So you can read about my week in my other email.  So this week has
been pretty good and we have had a lot of fun.  So anyway it sounds
like you are having a blast.  I wish you all the best of luck on your
finals, but don't burn yourself out studying.  I like the phrase don't
burn your candle on both ends.  Or something like that.  SO good luck
and here is another great phrase for ya'  don't count your chickens
before they hatch.  Ever since I have been teaching english I realized
just how amazing the english language is.  I also have learned a lot
of phrases.  So it finally snowed.  That is weird to think about
considering the fact that it snowed here forever ago.  It is also
really cold.  So I finally slipped and fell this week but I took
second place among the elders.  I actually slipped just kind of
standing and when I really think about it I have no idea how I fell.
So that was really funny.  Did you know that here there is literally
roads of solid ice?  They are really hard to walk on at night without
a flashlight.  :)  So that is cool about your whole car thing.  I bet
you will sell it pretty quick.  If you want to sell it really fast
just say that it is actually a transformer and then people will buy it
really quickly. :)   So I know but yeah my jokes are lame today.  So I
read a really cool article about how a family during christmas time
all memorized the living christ.  She said that literally that those
several months that they spent memorizing it was some of the best
months of her life because they literally rejoiced in Christ all the
time.  I have decided I really want to do the same thing.  So just a
cool idea.  So to answer your questions, every once and a while I miss
home but recently it hasn't been so bad.  It was actually the worst of
thanksgiving but right now it is pretty good.  So I always remember
you guys but to be honest since all of you have changed so much i
really don't know any of the cute little habits you have anymore. I
really hope that we can all together be up and byu for a while.  But
if that doesn't work out than we can still do a lot of other things.
So the day I was getting released changed.  So it will be the end of
July.  Probably July 31st.  SO it will be about two years.  Orginally
we were going to go the 14th of July but with the whole lowering of
the missionary ages it messed some things up.  So that will be whats
up.  So always remember the saviour.  Some people think that in
Mongolia it is easier to focus on the real meaning of christmas
because there is no commercial christmas but it is exactly the
opposite.  It is all commercial christmas.  Santa and the christmas
tree and all of the christmas music that doesn't include the story of
actual christmas.  It makes me realize just how special it is to focus
on christ during christmas.  So you are doing a wonderful job
remembering what christmas is really about. So to be honest I really
want some pudding for Christmas.  So if you could send some pudding I
would love you more than ever.  :)  JK but you can tell mom though.
Well I am doing fine and I wish you the best luck out there.  30 weeks
left for me.  That is about how much left.  Time flies and I am so sad
that I am leaving that soon.  I just feel like I haven't been as
productive as I wanted to be but every missionary feels that way.  So
I love you and can't wait to see you over skype.  PS give me your
skype address.  Well I love you and good luck.  Love Elder Williams

 Dear Mom and Dad,
So this week was really good. So actually this sunday we had a
new investigator show up that we invited to come to church several
days ago. I didn't actually think she would ever come but all of a
sudden she is meeting with us. I hope that she felt the spirit and
that she will continue to want to meet with us. also this week was
pretty good because one of our new members 8 year old daughters got
baptized. It was wonderful to be able to see her get baptized. So
also today my short term missionary is going to be traded for another
short term missionary so that should be interesting. Well it was
really cold this week. Supposedly -22 farenheit. The good news is
that first, I am not feeling too cold and second, I have not fallen
yet on all of the solid ice. Me and another elder are having a
competition to see who can last the longest. Well that is really all
that happened this week. Well pretty soon we will be talking over
skype. I can't wait and am just glad to get the chance to be able to
talk to all of you again. So that reminds me that you should send me
your or kristalyn's skype address. that might make things easier.
so it sounds like all of you are doing good. I am really interested
in that whole china thing. that is sooooo cool. That might actually
really have an effect on all of the people here in Mongolia.
Mongolians speak english well russian well and chinese pretty well.
So who knows. So it sounds like everything over there is still warm.
Sorry I won't be able to write a lot but just know that i am having a
wonderful day and week. I love you and wish you all the best of luck.
Love Elder Williams

Dear Little Sisters,
Too save on time today I will just talk to you two and you can read
about my week in the other bigger email. So you two sound like you
are having fun. I remember going down and watching Bonanza late at
night and sometimes we hid it from Dad. :) That really seems like
yesterday for me. To be honest it is really kind of weird because it
is like that time back at home was put on pause for me. In my mind it
is really weird to think that things are all changing back at home.
But I can't wait to talk to you over skype in a few weeks. It should
be a blast. So Caelen, I'm glad that you and pizza and ice-cream and
a movie go well together. Just remember to eat some extra pizza for
me!!!! Hey, Caelen, don't you worry about school. School is just
something in life we all have to do and to be honest if you want to
enjoy school you will and if you don't want to you won't. I remember
that as I moved up the grades in highschool that I really began to
enjoy it. You will too eventually. So just relax and do your best
and most of all pray. That way Heavenly Father can consecrate your
performance unto you. (I don't think I really got the wording on that
right so forgive me) :) Rachel, you sound like you are doing good.
I hope that movie was really good. Also you are right about the whole
mormon thing. We need to say our church's name but also for example
if someone does call us a mormon we need to straight up accept it and
say "yes sirree I'm a mormon" (that was a little cheesy) So anyway
just keep up the good work and always remember that your heavenly
father loves you. You two have a wonderful week. Love Elder

Dear Kristalyn,
So it sounds like your week was awesome.  So don't worry you can
learn about my week in my big email.  Also I was planning on sending
some really cool pictures today tegsen chin my companion is leaving
and I am getting another short term missionary for two weeks and I
became busy today.  So anyway I promise I think about you and your
pictures everyday.  Just be thankful that I still have my camera.
Elder Stranski my mtc companion has lost his camera twice.  So anyway
this week has been pretty good for me.  Did I ever tell you that when
I learned that information about mom's cancer in the MTC I cried in
the bathroom too?  It was a very interesting time for me and I still
see how much God was teaching me.  I kind of miss the MTC every once
and a while.  It was a truly wonderful spot.  The spirit is there sooo
strong.  Dad told me before my mission the the Holy Ghost truly walks
those halls.  and I can testify to what he said.  The spirit truly
does walk those sacred halls in the MTC.  Anyways just a little bit of
a flash back for me.  So I hope everything turns out okay for you and
Rhett.  I recently read a wonderful article in one of the older
ensigns about picking someone to marry.  It was really good and next
time I will give you the reference to it but don't worry too much
about all of this.  Just keep up the good work up there and BYU and I
don't know if we will ever be up there together but if we are I can't
wait.  Well I love you and just to let you know in Mongolia the
Christmas here is called new years and to be honest nothing happens on
Dec. 25.  Kind of depressing right?  They also have no idea of any of
the meanings of half the christmas stuff they put up.  It is all for
new years.  So I am so grateful for the chance to have a wonderful
sister like you and I wish you the best of luck.  Love Elder Williams

Dear Mom and Dad,
Anyway today we played basketball after the dentist so I'm writing a little later but anyway today turned out okay.  So as I said before during thanksgiving we went to one of our members homes to have a little food.  So we went there and she ended up giving us like a huge bowl of horse meat and rice and mashed potatoes.  I finished the whole thing with a lot of struggle.  It was really hard also because she bought each of us a huge thing of juice which we both finished and we also drank milk with a whole bunch of pastries.  When we left there we could only barely walk and my stomach literally physically hurt.  So we literally babystepped down the mountain to the bus stop and during the bus ride I felt so full.  So then we went to our next appointment which was actually to make our thanksgiving chicken with an older sister but we told her we had eaten so much that we couldn't eat again and so we set that appointment for another time.  Well then I sat at the mission home for a while and my companion finished his missionary application (or at least some of it) Well by then it was night and our next appointment was to meet with a member who to be honest is a really cool guy.  He is literally seven feet tall and speaks fluent English and studied in America for a while.  So he is also a very well to do business man.  So he picked us up in his car and we drove across the city to a really really really nice part of town (I'm talking about millionaires here) and we went to a really quiet expensive restaurant.  And for the first time since my mission I had lasagna.  It was sooooooo good.  I didn't realize just how much I missed that kind of food.  Anyway it was really nice and it was really nice to be able to have a wonderful conversation with him.  He actually knows more about American politics than I do at the moment.  Anyway my thanksgiving turned out very nice.  So anyway the rest of the week was also good.  We are meeting with an investigator tonight and hopefully that all turns out good.  Well it sounds like your week was pretty good.  I am so jealous of the weather over there.  Here I am trying to brush the ice of my eyelashes and you are all playing badminton.  So it is really cold over here.  Pretty quick I will have to switch to my huge winter boots.  So today was really fun playing basketball.  So having lost weight it has increased my jumping ability and I feel that if I worked on it I could possibly dunk the ball.  Right now it is actually quite easy to jump and grab the rim.  So who knows?  Anything could happen.  Well I did win today in basketball against a whole bunch of guys that just kind of walked in and played with us.  That was really fun because they really don't know how to guard a really big guy.  the style of basketball over here is completely different and the first couple of months it was really hard to get used to but in the end it actually works out to my advantage.  The funny thing is that when we play a half court game the moment someone misses anyone can rebound it and score so if you are really tall that really works to your advantage.  So anyway that was fun today.  So to answer a few questions.  So I've have spoken in church a few times which to be honest is kind of hard because they as you know literally ask you during the program to speak.  But it is okay.  Me and my companion are doing fine and we are just trying to get our investigators to church.  So another elder is teaching my English class on P-days which is bad for him but good for me.  But he only has to teach 3 hours a week.  I still have 9.  I can't believe Cameron is almost home.  Time absolutely flies.  I get a little sad when I think about that.  But whatever.  6 weeks.  I remember a year or two ago thinking about how long that seems.  But it is truly nothing in time.  Well I love you all and I wish you all the best of luck this next week.  I love you and have a good day or night.  Love Elder Williams

Dear Little Girls,
So it was so wonderful to hear from all of you.  This week was pretty good and to be honest it is starting to get pretty cold.  The ice chunks on my eye lashes are proof of that.  So anyways it is cold.  But my new coat is really warm and really thick and I look like a marshmallow.  But the style here is quite different and so looking like a marshmallow is actually acceptable here.  SO other than that we had two investigators come to church which was really nice.  We are meeting with one of them tonight.  Also we found an in-active member this past week and we managed to get her to go to church.  And she enjoyed it.  So that was really cool.  So it sounds like your lives are doing really well.  Rachel, it sounds like the movie was really good.  I have always wondered how that would turn out.  Rachel, you have grown up a lot and I can tell from the emails I get from you.  Your writing style has changed and you are sounding more different every week.  But this is a good thing.  So you are so cool.  Also good job on the Christmas lights.  Also just keep living the good life and sleeping a lot.  Sleeping is wonderful and something I feel like I haven't enjoyed in a long time.  But it is also good to get up at 6:30.  Kind of.  :)  So keep up the great work.  Caelen you have grown up a lot too.  I admit I am excited to see all the growth you have been through.  It will be strange but I really also want to see all the changes that have gone on.  SO good job.  Well I admit I busted up laughing thinking about Rebecca panicking hanging on to a gutter.  Wish you had got pictures of that.  Good job on the Christmas lights.  Also don't worry.  My mouth isn't frozen.  Well I love you both and I'll leave with you one cool scripture.  D&C 64:33-34  "Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work.  And out of small things proceedeth that which is great. Behold, the Lord requireth the heart and a willing mind; and the willing and obedient shall eat the good of the land of Zion in these last days"  The reason I like this scripture is that it tells us that we should never grow tired of doing good things.  We are making this church stronger by doing service and helping others and we need to never get discouraged.  Because even if we do just little things we are making something big.  Many little things add to very big things.  All the Lord wants is for us to want to serve him and try to serve him.  ANd then if we do this we will truly eat the good of the land of zion in these last days or in other words we will be blessed with an abundance of blessings from god and he will help us in any situation.  So girls never give up on doing good even when others don't appreciate it.  So this next week just try opzyour best to help people around you.  I know you can and I know you are doing it now.  I love you so much and I hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving.  I love you again and good luck.  Love Elder Williams

Dear Kristalyn,  Thanks for writing me.  TO be honest the thing I love the most is just being able to hear from you whether it be short or long.  Well this week was very nice and I actually ate a ton of food over thanksgiving.  Anyways you can read about that in my other email.  So I have been warm especially in my new coat.  It is really big.  So don't you worry about that.  But to be honest the ice on my eyelashes is getting annoying.  So the work is good.  So this week I was just thinking about how close the Lord's second coming really is.  I am really excited for it but I don' t know if it will happen in my lifetime or not.  But I am really excited for it.  So that was kind of a cool thought.  Also so far I haven't slipped and fallen yet but I know that it is only a matter of time.  We actually had a sister missionary slip and break her ankle a few days ago.  But thankfully she is still up and moving.  SO have a wonderful day and just know that I love you soooooo much.  Love Elder Williams

Saturday, November 24, 2012

Dear Mom and Dad,

So this week has been pretty good and well also a little cold.  I got a new coat because my old one's zipper just wouldn't work anymore.  So anyway that should be pretty warm.  Also we found a new investigator this week that to be honest really surprised me that she came to church.  We had met with her before but she didn't seem that interested but now she seems to be changing.  So hopefully we can get somewhere with her.  So also this week I had some of my hours taken off of my english schedule which means I don't have to teach on P-days anymore.  Though I admit that I will miss the students that I would have taught.  I have many good friends now due to english even though I am the teacher.  Well so life here in Mongolia seems to be going pretty good.  By the way Grandma Williams the Elder Neuberger here seems to be the grandson of the man you knew back in San Antonio.   I asked him and it all seemed to line up.  So the world is small.  Well the good news is that they are finally beginning to send new American Elders into Mongolia again.  They should have a new MTC group entering the MTC in December.  So the Lord is again working in Mongolia.  I am doing pretty good here and it is naturally cold but to be honest it doesn't feel like I ever had a summer in the first place.  It just went by so quickly.  So also this next week one of the older couple sisters is going to help our district have a thanksgiving dinner.  We will use chicken because there is hardly a turkey here in Mongolia.  SO that should be pretty good.  I really hope to get some new investigators this week.  Well it sounds like your week has been wonderful.  Dad I heard about you and Caelen in the car and just say that you are a very courageous father.  I still remember you coaching me when I was learning driving.  I'm so glad that the family will be together for thanksgiving.  I wish I could be there but I know that you will all eat plenty of turkey for me.  Well I am just living here eating whatever I can.  I think I got a little weight back after being sick but not too much.  I look so small now in all of my clothes.  I am so funny looking in the mirrors now.  I just hope I don't come back and gain it all back.  But I have learned a secret  and that is that it really all depends on what you eat and the portions you eat.  But to be honest, I still eat like a pig when I have the time and that is because we walk so much.  Anyways I think that a 16 should be fine.  I think that that will be perfect.  Well I love you all so much and I think I will write a little thankful list for you.  I assigned one of my new members this so I guess I will do it too.  SO the thing I am the most thankful for is this gospel and the opportunity we have to change through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.  I am so thankful for the prophet Joesph Smith and the restoration of the complete and full gospel of Jesus Christ.  I am so thankful for the wonderful life that God has given me and am also thankful for the wonderful, absolutely wonderful family that he has given me.  I still wonder why God sent me to this family?  What did I do to deserve such a marvelous family?  I still haven't figured out that one.  I am so thankful for the leaders of the ward at home that tried their best to help me become the person I needed to.  I am so grateful for this wonderful world that God has given me.  I am also so thankful for God giving me the opportunity to serve a mission.  I love you all so much.  I hope that you have a wonderful thanksgiving and I love you all so much once again.  Love Elder Williams

 Hey Little Girls,
So this week has been pretty good.  We had a new investigator come to sacrament meeting and it looks like she will be our best prospect the next few weeks.  She really does seem interested and she seems to want to continue meeting with us.  Hopefully everything works out there.  So this week I got some of my English teaching time taken off for a little while because one of the older couples in charge of all the English schedules decided to have one of the other elders teach one of my classes.  They are trying to make all of the schedules as equal as possible.  So hopefully it should turn out well.  Though I admit I am jealous of the class he gets to teach because they are all really great kids.  I have really become good friends with all of my students and though English is hard I will probably miss them a little.  So apart from that the week has been pretty normal.  We plan on having some little bit of a Thanksgiving dinner this next week with our district.  It should be good and we have one of the older couples going to help us make some good traditional American food.  We will have to use chicken because the one and only turkey in Mongolia is going to our mission President.  :)  SO hopefully this week will really turn out to a good week.  So it sounds like all of you are doing great.  Caelen,  do people ever start grabbing their children and run inside their houses when you get in the van?  :)  Just kidding.  Hey that whole experience sounds awesome.  I'm sure dad was thrilled when you decided to launch him from one seat to the other.  :)  Just keep up the good work and some day you will be a pro.  Rachel, I'm glad that you are getting over you cold.  I really hope that you will do okay and good job with the whole math test.  You can do it!!!  :)  SO eat a lot of turkey for me because I haven't eaten turkey in a long time.  Rebecca,  are the boys going crazy over you because little miss popular is definitely sounding very well loved.  :)  You little popular thing you!!!  I'm so excited for you but you also have to remember that you may not date until I'm................dead.     :)  Anyways good luck and I am so glad that you are having fun.  enjoy the opportunity to go home and be with family.  It will be really good for you.  Well Little girls I love you and I hope that all of you have a wonderful thanksgiving.   Love Elder Williams

Dear Kristalyn,
Sorry but pictures will really come next week because guess what?  I don't have to teach English on P-days anymore!!!!!! So that should really free up some of my day.  Well this week has been pretty good but you can read about it in my other emails.  SO Kristalyn, I am glad that you were able to go to Becca's wedding and tell her congratulations from me.  God has given us many opportunities and one of the greatest gifts he has given us is the gift of agency.  Sometimes God will not tell us all of the paths we need to go down because he wants you to learn to exercise your agency.   Kristalyn,  life will be hard.  Life is hard.  But that doesn't mean we shouldn't enjoy ourselves.  God gave us this life so we could have joy.  And the only way to true way to happiness is to follow his commandments.  Sometimes we try really hard to make our life according to our will and in the end it is like trying to stop a river.  Just align yourself with all of God's will and just let the magic happen around you.  Of course sometimes we will go through something hard but it is okay.  I love you and I am so proud of the things you are doing.  I mean it 100%.  You are one of the strongest examples for me of someone who is trying to do their best.  I look at you and see experience that you use in everyday life.  I love you and you are so special.  I look at you and just marvel at your great example.  Really that is the truth.  I love you and I hope that you have a wonderful relaxing week.  Enjoy thanksgiving for me.  Love Elder Williams

 Dear Mom and Dad,

SO first I will try and answer the questions you asked. So it
seems like my VISA is okay and I am so thankful for your prayers. I
should be able to finish my mission here in Mongolia. So my new
companion is a short term missionary which means he has never been out
on a mission before. So pretty much I am teaching a new missionary.
He doesn't really speak any English. But me and him are doing some
pretty good work with our investigators. We have a few that seem like
they will move along. To be honest this week there wasn't a lot of
progress because I was sick and now my companion is getting the same
cold. SO we are just trying to stay healthy. So speaking of my
Christmas package I really only want a few things. So first I would
really like some shirts that fit. I actually have just found out that
I have lost more weight and plus my collars are kind of falling apart.
I will try and get some measurements to you next week but if I can't
just send me a few shirts with the size of the neck down a little. so
that is what I really want for Christmas but I could also use a little
pudding. :) So anyway this week was pretty good. We went to stake
conference which was nice and got to hear from our stake president
odgerel. That was really nice and great to feel the spirit. So also
last night we had a shamanist thing going on in the room above us.
that was a little strange. They were pounding on there drums and
yelling really loud but I guess it was a little interesting to listen
to. They sounded just like the native Americans. So apart from that
nothing really unique happened this week. We are just trying to do as
much work as we can while we are healthy. So speaking of the weight
thing I am now under 200 pounds which is something that I haven't been
since the eighth grade. So that is interesting. So it sounds like
your week was really good. I hope that all of you are doing well over
there. So I'm glad that BYU won their game because to be honest it
doesn't sound like they have won very many this year. Let me just say
that I can't help and think about the tropical winters back in Utah.
I really can't wait to be in a warmer environment. Anyways I am staying
warm. Well I love you and good luck in everything you do. Love Elder

 Dear little sisters,
So this week has been pretty good so far. I have been just a
little sick this week. But I am getting better thanks to the
missionary doctor. So one really interesting thing was last night we
had some shamanists on the floor above us pounding on their drums and
screaming and yelling and singing just like the native americans. It
made it a little hard to sleep last night because all of the noise but
it was still a interesting and unique experience. So we have met with
one investigator named Gerelmaa who seems to be accepting the gospel
really well. The only problem was that her relatives was a little
tipsy and so it made the lesson really short. Other than that the
work is just continuing as good as ever. So I actually learned about
the elections here in Mongolia because it was all over the place too.
I wanted Mitt Romney but whatever. SO there are some more american
missionaries that are supposed to be coming in march which means that
the immigration office is being a little easier on all of us. So
Caelen it sounds like you are having a good time. So you said it also
snowed over there. Well it has snowed here too and it is absolutely
freezing. It is like my first winter all over again. (Wait a second,
it is) So Mongolian winters are cold. But I am staying warm. Don't
you worry about me. Rachel, I'm sorry you have been feeling sick. I
have been a little sick too. We should both get better together!!!!
:) Anyways good luck with that cold and get better. Also enjoy when
the two older girls come down for me. also play some great games.
Rebecca, you are a funny little girl. I mean when the lights go out
doesn't everybody go and give each other backscratches? :) JK though
it is a little cute. Also good job on helping those who are less
fortunate. You will be blessed for it. So one cool thing I was
reading today taught me more about God's attributes and his love for
people. He love us so much that when he sees those who are not
following his commandments he weeps. He love us that much little
girls. He knows each and every one of you personally and wants each
of you to return to live with him. Always remember that. We can not
even comprehend a piece of God's love. I love you and good luck with
this upcoming week. I love you all. Love Elder Williams

Dear Kristalyn,
SO this week has been pretty good.  Except for one thing and that
is I have been pretty sick so far.  Right now it is getting better
thanks to the missionary doctor.  So apart from that there wasn't
anything out of the blue this week.  Wait, we also had stake
conference this last week which was really nice to be able to go to.
It was also nice to hear from all the strong leaders in Mongolia.  The
stake president Odgerel is a really strong man and it truly showed me
that the Lord has chosen us from before this life to do certain
things.  If Mongolia didn't have this man as a stake president than I
don't know what would happen.  Anyways so that was nice.  I have also
lost some more weight but you will have to read Mom and Dad's letter
to hear about that.  Anyways life is pretty good over here other than
it being really cold. We have some good investigators that are coming
along  but to be honest between me and my companion being sick last
week we didn't meet with a ton of people.  But it was a decent week.
So it is cold over here now.  Anyways just thought you wanted to know.
So next week I will send some wonderful pictures to you but this
week there isn't a lot of time.  I promise to send some awesome
pictures.  I already have a few but just have to send them.  So don't
worry.  I am taking pictures.  So I might send you one today but next
week I will send a bundle.  So that really sounds cool of the
different religious service.  I didn't really know what the Jewish
people did in their synagogues.  In Mongolia we always get the
Buddhist monks or the buu (shamanists)  In fact last night we had
someone pounding on their drum on the floor above us.  They were
singing and shouting like crazy and sounded just like native
americans.  It was a little hard to go to sleep last night.  So those
are the different religions here.  There are more obviously but those
seem to be some of the biggest.  I am so glad you get to take the bus.
:)  I get to take the bus allllll theeee timmee. and to be honest I
am getting a little sick of it but I'll be okay.  Well the asian buses
are a little more crowded than Salt Lake.  SO good luck and I love you
and just keep on being the great example that you are doing.

Dear Mom and Dad,
So this week has been pretty good. I got my short term
missionary and he is really good. His name is Elder Dulguun. The
only thing is that I am now the senior companion and it does make
things a little more stressful sometimes. I guess the Lord is just
trying to teach me. Also this week we had a nice fireside in which
some of the missionaries that were leaving bore their testimonies.
That was nice to just be able to sit back and listen and just feel the
spirit. Sometimes with all the bustle and business of missionary work
you miss the special just kind of relaxing spirit feeling. But on the
other side you see the spirit work wonders in people. So this week
has been pretty good. Not that many investigators came to church but
we will get them to come eventually. So it sounds like you are doing
well. I am also hoping for Mitt Romney to do well. Believe it or not
but everyone also knows that he is a Mormon here too. Though they
don't seem to care to much about it. So the weather is getting cold
and speaking of cold I am getting over one I got a week ago. I don't
need any new gear as far as I know so it right now don't need anything
sent over. Well life is just going here over in the mission field.
I'm glad that you could all enjoy Halloween and it sounds like you are
busy with your calling at church. Let me just say once again how
grateful I am for my parents. You both have taught me so much. Thank
you again and again. Well this next week should be pretty good. I
love you and wish you all the luck in the world. I tell you time
flies. i don't like it. Anyways I love you and have a good week.
Love Elder Williams

Dear Little sisters,
It is sooo good to hear from you again this week. I love writing
you every week. So this week has been interesting because I have
finally become senior companion and to be honest it is a little hard.
My new companion is a short term missionary and he is really good and
his name is Elder Dulguun. We have had a good few couple of days but
the thing is that i have to teach him a lot about this mission field
and the only problem is that it is a little hard to do that. So this
week has been pretty good so far and hopefully we can do some really
good work. Anyway that is what is new with me this week. Really
nothing else. Other than getting a new companion that is all this
week has had to offer. So anyways the investigators are doing okay
but right now there is no one that is progressing a lot but hopefully
we can get them growing in these next few weeks. Your week sounds
pretty good this week. Rachel, I am so proud of you doing well this
week. You are truly growing up. Just remember to always be yourself
and continue to have as much fun as you can. Those years you have are
precious and if you are not careful they will slip from your fingers.
I know that sounds a little poetic but it is true. So you are doing
great. So Caelen I loved your pictures. You look so cute and I am so
proud of you. You looked like you had a wonderful time. It sounds
like stalking the neighborhood was pretty fun. I hope you scared some
little kids for me. It really isn't that hard. Just run towards
them. :) Rebecca, it sounds like you are being as great as ever.
Just keep making those guy friends. (But you can't date them until
I'm dead) :) So that is the way it is. Also just keep feasting from
the scriptures. There is so much knowledge hidden in those pages.
Actually the knowledge is endless and you are only at the beginning of
it. I love the scriptures so much and one of my favorite times of day
is when I have the opportunity to read out of them. So I love you all
so much and I am so proud of all of you. You are all so good. Just
keep being yourselves and stay strong. :) I love you all and good
luck. Elder Williams

Dear Kristalyn,
SO this week has been pretty good.  SO I have now got a short term
missionary for a companion.  It is pretty good and we are doing pretty
good work.  His name is Elder Dulguun and he is a good guy with a lot
of will.  The only thing is that he doesn't really know that much and
I have to teach him a lot about the work and hopefully everything is
turning out good.  So right now the week has gone by okay and the only
thing is that it is getting really cold here.  Well it sounds like you
are having a good time down in St. George.  I hope you have a great
time.  Kristalyn, hey don't worry about all that anxiety stuff.
Everything will turn out okay and you don't need to worry .  Anyway I
am just trying to survive this next winter and hoping that I can do
the work with my new companion.  I didn't realize how much I knew
about how to teach and stuff until I got a companion that really knows
nothing at the time.  I hope he picks up pretty quick so we can teach
some really great lessons.  Right now I am really just trying to rely
on the Lord for help and how to do the work when I have the most
experience.  TO be honest it is kind of stressful.  But anyway I will
pull through.  Well I love you and don't worry about life because in
the end everything will be okay.  That is why we need hope in this
gospel.  If we never have hope for a better world or a better self
with god's help our hearts will fail and we will fall into a
depression.  So we always need hope.  Kristalyn,  I would suggest that
you get a preach my gospel book from like Deseret or actually there is
one at home maybe.  Anyway go to chapter 6 and look up all about the
Christ Like attributes.  Also look at the first of the chapter to see
how to help yourself by reading it.  I think that this chapter would
really give you some peace of mind.  Just remember you aren't perfect
and neither is life but it is through the gospel that we can actually
make it the way we want it.  I'm serious about the preach my gospel
thing though.  Please look.  I love you so much and I really do miss
all of you.  Keep up the good work and have some hope and everything
will be okay.  I love you and good luck.  Elder Williams

Dear Mom and Dad,      So this week has been a really good week.  We found a few new good investigators that should turn out really well.  Also I am going to get a short term missionary which means that a young man who has some free time who has been interviewed by the president will come out and be my companion for a few weeks.  So hopefully that turns out okay.  So this week has been pretty cold.  It is starting to turn into that good all familiar Mongolian winter.  It should be good and cold.  So all the locals are saying that this winter will be colder than all others but those myths are all kind of not really true or that is what I am beginning to understand.  So the work is just moving along over here.  so we did go and introduce our investigator to people at a Halloween party at the church.  We weren't there too long though.  We normally are supposed to.  So that was fun to see.  We also helped decorate a little because well number one I'm tall and number 2 not a lot of people to decorate showed up.  So I drew a pumpkin that looked just like Mom's pumpkins.  So that was really good.  All of my new members seem to be doing fine so that is nice.  So it sounds like your week was pretty good.  I'm glad to hear that byu actually won a game and won it well.  That is great to hear about the other missionaries from our ward.  It is so wonderful to know that they are all doing fine out there.  So this week I was surrounded by English speaking people in a bus and it was really weird.  I actually understood everything they were saying perfectly.  Also I saw a black guy. (or if I must be politically correct African American)  It was really weird because I hardly see any white people around here.  Anyways I got kind of shy and didn't really talk to any of them but I have made a vow that next time I see a group of english speakers I will talk with them.  Anyway that was my week this week.  And mom don't worry about when I get home and I see you because dad is right you were both old when I left.  Just kidding....kind of.  Well I love you both so much and I wish you all the best of luck.  Love Elder Williams

Dear Little Sisters,
I am always so happy to hear from you.  It has been so nice to be able to see you grow through my mission.  So this week has been good but it is already getting really cold.  At least it is not like the beginning of January though.  That is the absolute coldest time.  It is cold here now and I can't wait for the really cold stuff to pass.  Also the sun will set and rise really funny now and I will get up and the sun won't be up until like 9:30 and will set at like3:30.  It is a little rough but I will stick it through.  So this week has been pretty good.  This week I will get a new short term missionary for about 6 weeks.  Hopefully that turns out alright.  SO we found two new investigators last week which was great and hopefully we will continue to find more.  Well Rachel good luck with that whole going to sleep thing.  Just relax.  Also tell me what happens to our fat old dog.  Hopefully it isn't a big problem.  I'm so glad that you are liking going to church.  The sabbath day is so special and we just always need to be thankful that God has given us this special day to recharge our spiritual batteries.  Caelen, you went on a date. YOU WENT ON A DATE!!!  How dare you do that!!!!  JK  :)  I am glad to hear you had so much fun.  I hope you really enjoyed yourself.  It is so fun to have good friends to go and do stuff with.  Rebecca, you sound like a popular girl.  Going as Tron.  How cool are you?  You are really like going crazy up there.  :)  Well, that is so good to hear that you have been doing great things up there.  Also remember to go on some dates.  You need to because a popular girl needs a popular (good) boyfriend.  :)  Well I love you all and good luck this week.  Love Elder Williams

Dear Kristalyn,
So this week to be honest has been freezing.  It is beginning to the cold is happening right here right now in Mongolia!!!!  :)  SO that has made it a little interesting.  Thank you for writing me this week.  It sounds like you are having a wonderful time up at BYU.  I also hope to be able to be in all your fun little groups up there.  I just can't believe how fast my mission is going though.  It is unreal.  So I learned that in the next week I will get a new companion who is a short term missionary.  In other words I will have a priest to help me with the missionary work for a few weeks.  I am still in Unur which has been a blast but I admit I really wanted a full time missionary for a companion.  SO our ward did have a Halloween party and we went just to introduce our investigator to the people and then we left.  We also stayed for the food.    Though I admit I know nothing about the elections.  SO I always did like those silly little nights you used to do.  Now I may of seemed like embarrassed at the time but I think those little goofy things really brought us all together.  Yeah our sisters are growing up way to fast.  I don't really know any of the too well any more.  They are going on dates doing amazing stuff and I hope they haven't changed to much.  It doesn't seem so right now but I won't know until I get there.  Does Caelen look a lot older?  I haven't seen a picture of her.  How does Rachel look.  It is kind of weird to think that they are all getting so big.  Anyway thanks for writing me and I hope you have a great time this next week.  I love you and just know that your brother is trying to stay as warm as he can over in the country of Mongolia.  Good luck!!!  Love Elder Williams

Dear Mom and Dad,
So this week has been a pretty good week so far.  We have taught a lot of lessons and are finding a few new investigators.  Well me and my companion are doing pretty well.  We just had it snow a few days ago and so now the long dark winter begins.  It really is dark.  The sun sets at like 3 o'clock.  At least that is not until December.  So anyway I am going to get some new gloves today and hopefully so nice warm socks.  This week we helped put in a window in for some less active members which was pretty interesting.  Also the my english lessons which I teach at the church are going pretty well.  Me and Elder Neuberger (an elder in my district) switch between teaching the high level english and the low level english classes.  SO this saturday we had this old man come into our class.  He expressed is interest in learning English and said he wanted to sit in the high level class.  But he mistakenly sat in the low level class which I happened to be teaching that day.  At first I was grateful because both me and Elder Neuberger thought that he was just an old man that thought he was pretty good at English, but when he started talking I was completely taken by surprise.  He spoke really good english and I was in shock for the first 5 minutes.  SO that was interesting.  Other than that there really wasn't that much else this week.  So Odmaa is doing really well in the church and is learning and growing in it sooo much.  She takes her calling so seriously which is a door greeter and she does really well.  Anyway it is so wonderful to see somebody grow through the gospel.  So my other english classes are doing pretty well so far and so far it seems like I will be able to stay in the country.  Or at least everybody is really positive about it.  It seems like one of the real anti mormon guys was just switched to a different department or something like that so hopefully everything should work out just fine.  Well life here is good other than the fact that it is getting cold.  also Ulaanbaatar during the winter gets really smoggy which is also no fun.  To be honest it is the worst smog I have ever seen.  but right now it isn't too bad.  Apparently this coming winter is supposed to the colder than the past several years but Mongolians said that last year too.  It seems to always be the rumors before a winter.  The Mongolians are a very supersticious people some time and so this kind of thing happens a lot.  Well it sounds like you are doing really good Mom.  I hope you get everything done before it snows which to be honest I know you can.  Just don't overwork yourself as I know you do so often.  :)  It sounds like Elder Munday was great to hear from.  Dad, thank you for sharing the scripture with me. It was so great to read and it made me realize that sometimes even when I don't have success that I am still here to warn people whether they accept me or not.  Thank you so much.  Well it sounds like ByU did bad again which isn't really a surprise.  Well hopefully they do good when I'm there.  So anyway I was reading a little out of the old testament today and was really just impressed by the story of Elisha and his servant and how "they that be with us are more than they that be with them."  We always need to remember this and we never need to give up or feel down because of the world.  We just need to remember that God will win.  and if we are obedient we will win with him.  I'm am so grateful for a wonderful family and for the only true church.  I love you and good luck. Love Elder Williams

Dear Caelen and Rachel,
I'm am so glad to hear from you today.  It has been wonderful to be able to see your emails.  So this week has been pretty good for me and we have done a lot of work.  So this week we a great time talking and helping many of the members.  I actually helped put a window in a house of some of our inactive members this week.  It was really cool and it was good to be able to help them.  So the Unur ward is doing pretty well and yesterday we had a great lesson on why we all need to do family history work.  It is possible to do family history work in Mongolia but not a lot of the saints do it so it was really refreshing to hear about it yesterday.  So to be honest apart from that we really didn't do a whole bunch out of the usual this week.  We taught our investigators and we have 3 right now that are very promising.  Two are planning to be baptized and the other one will shortly be given a baptismal date.  So the work here is just moving along fine.  Also all of our new members are doing fine including Odmaa who has got a calling.  She has the calling of a greeter at the door and is doing a wonderful job.  So it has been a great week so far.  So little girls it is so great to hear from you again.  Rachel, it sounds like you are having a great time.  Good luck on your big book.  So also good job on your grades.  that is really impressive and you should be proud of yourself.   I know you are working so hard to get them and let me just say congratulations.  Also make sure to count all the sunflower seeds for me you got.  :)  JK....Rowling.  Can't forget that.  Anyway great job.  So Caelen, good job on your grades too.  it take a lot of effort and hard work to get good grades.  Good job.  By the way, Caelen I can't believe what I heard.  Is my little nanny going to a .....dance?!!!!  What?!!!  Is that even possible?!!!  Are you old enough?!!!!  Stop growing up so quickly.  :)  Anyway good luck and I'm so proud of you.  So I like mark solomon and will not make you ask anything from him but you may tell him that when I get home I plan on beating him really bad in a game of ping-pong.  So good luck and I hope you have a great time.  Also don't worry and be yourself.  (I wish I had taken my own advice a long time ago)  :)  So just relax and have fun at the dance.  SO little girls I love you and good luck in everything you do and just remember,  "those that be with us are more than those that be with them."  Always remember to choose the right and I love you.  Good luck!!  Love Elder Williams

Kristalyn,
Sorry I can't write much but it has been great to hear from you.  So Kristalyn, just remember that the Lord can help you in anything you need.  One thing that we as missionaries always strive to do is be filled with a love for the people we teach.  In Moroni it states that we the way in order to be filled with this love is to beg from god in prayer to give us a portion of that love.  I can testify that if we truly beg and pray that he will give it to us.  So if you are having a hard time with people just pray to god to love them and he will help you overcome all your weaknesses.  Also good luck with your car.  I wanted to drive it but it is okay, I will drive you future car.  :)   Good luck with everything and I love you.  Love Elder Williams
Tell Becky I love her.Tell her sorry I wasn't able to write to her.  Tell her good luck and just keep on getting her perfect grades.

Dear Mom and Dad,SO this week I got my new shoes. Thank you so much and I really
enjoyed all the pictures and testimonies. Also the CD was absolutely
wonderful. I forgot to tell the girls but they sound so good in the
songs they sang. My companion didn't realize it was my sisters until
I told him and when he learned about it he was shocked at how
wonderful they sounded. I actually forgot to tell them this in my
email so they can learn about it from this one. The shoes are really
good and should last me until the end of my mission. SO the weather
is getting pretty cold over here and right now a little snow has
fallen but thankfully it has melted away (Or blown away, anyways it
just disappeared) We set a baptismal date with an investigator who is
doing absolutely wonderful. She came and took notes on all of General
Conference. She should hopefully be baptized next month. We also
found another boy who was just walking down the street that my
companion talked to. His sister actually is an inactive member and at
the time we didn't know that. Anyway he seems to want to learn and
hopefully we can get a progressing investigator out of him. So this
morning I had two Russian ladies steal my spot on the bus. Not really
but they just didn't know how to ride on a Mongolian bus really well.
It is funny being here. I have seen and met people all over the world
here. I have shaken a Saudi Arabians hand, talked to people from
England, bumped into Russians, had French people live next to me even
an American ward missionary. It is so funny to think that all the way
over here in little Mongolia there are this many people from different
countries here. Not to mention all of the Chinese and Koreans I have
seen. and Kazaks. Well me and my companion are doing fine. Also
being able to hear General Conference was absolutely amazing. Elder
Neuberger and me went on a short transfer and went and watched it in
English at the center building. Normally all of the English speakers
go to the Bayanzurk building to watch conference. Anyway that was
wonderful and it made me really thankful for a living prophet. I
could feel the spirit so strongly throughout the entire conference and
I was so sad when the last speaker finished. I have come to love
conferences. SO this week I really thought about what Elder Holland
said about who do we love. We truly need to ask this question
throughout out lives. Well this week has been a pretty good week and
I am so thankful for all of your support. It looks like the VISA
thing is doing well so far so I am so thankful for your prayers. But
it isn't over yet. so anyway thank you for everything. It sounds
like your week was great this week. Sometimes normal weeks are great.
So I love you and good luck. Love Elder Williams

Dear Little Girls,I love hearing from all of you. So this week was pretty good
for me and I learned a lot of things. But to be honest it really was
the same as all the other weeks of the mission. Though last night we
set a baptismal date with a really great investigator. She actually
came yesterday and watched all of conference and took great notes.
She is doing well and is truly hungering after the word of God. It is
really wonderful to see and I can see the spirit changing her
everyday. Another good thing is we found a young man that seems like
he could have some potential. We were just walking down the street
and my companion talked to him. Later we found out that his sister
had joined the church years ago and was really inactive. So we found
an inactive member and a new investigator. Hopefully that goes well.
So I got to watch conference this week. It was absolutely fantastic.
I felt the spirit the entire conference. I absolutely loved Elder
Holland's talk and also President Monson's and President Eyring's and
President Uchtdorf's and so on and so on. I really liked all of them
to be honest. I just know that I was really sad when it was over. I
really have become to love conference. I think the greatest thing
about this last conference was were Elder Holland kind of made up the
story about the Lord and the apostles. I have really thought about
the question, "Do you love me?" I think that we always need to
remember who are what we love and why we love it. We need to find the
love for the lord and once we find it we can never turn back just like
Elder Holland said. It got me thinking and the one thing I thought
about was that we constantly through life need to ask this question.
Then when we can truly focus on the Lord we can be happy. So that is
something that I really liked. SO it sounds like all of you are doing
great this week. Caelen, it is great to read your happy email as
always. Yeah it is beginning to get really cold here. It is
interesting to already have my ears frozen so early in the year. :)
So Keep loving those puppets. SO Rachel, you rock at frisbee. Just
show all those boys who is really the good one at frisbee. Also good
luck on the really big book. So Rebecca, You sound like you are
having a great time as always being little miss popular up at BYU. :)
JK It is too bad about the BYU game but the reason is because they
don't have you down on the field. Cameron is home in like three
months right? Not cool. My mission is ending so fast and I really
love Mongolia. Well I love all of you and I wish you the best of
luck in all of the things that you are going to do this next week.
Love you. Love Elder Williams

Dear Kristalyn,
SO this week has been pretty good but you can read about it in Mom
and Dad's email.  Conference was a blast but it is beginning to get
really cold here.  The river is already freezing over.  That is so
cool that you are learning about other religions right now.  Do you
learn about any of the Asian religions in that class?  Probably not
since half of the Asians don't even understand their own religions.
SO my weight has evened out now but it is still way lower than I was
back home.  My face is so much thinner and my suitcoat and winter coat
are ridiculously huge.  Batbold (our building manager)(church member)
told me that I looked great and that when I got home I shouldn't gain
any weight.  Hopefully I can promise to that which I have learned that
it is pretty easy to maitain a healthy weight.  Just don't over eat.
But to be honest right now I could eat a ton and not have any of it
stay as fat because I walk so much that it is pretty much impossible
to put on weight here.  Good luck on the taco salad and when I get
home in 9 months you should make some for me.  Sorry I didn't get the
chance to talk to Odmaa last week but I will ask.  Well thank you so
much for all the support and thank you for writing me.  When you write
me it makes my P-Day.  Well I love you and good luck up there at BYU.
I love you.  Love Elder Williams

Dear Mom and Dad,    SO when I heard about the whole 18 19 year old thing I was kind of shocked.  I thought why in the world would they send out 19 year old sisters.  I then thought that well I was 19 when I left too.  So after that is was just a sign to me that the Lord is speeding up his work here on earth.  It is so cool to be able to see and hear this wonderful news.  We truly are blessed with a living prophet of God on this earth.  A few days back I was reading a scripture in D&C 128 19-24.  It struck me so hard just how wonderful  our gospel is and how we are not just living according to some other church on this earth but are actually living and knowing the truth.  Our church is not only the true church but truth in itself.  I am so glad that I was able to be raised in a family where these restored truths were taught. Thank you so much!!!  This gospel is so amazing and fills me with the spirit every time i think about it.  So that was kind of my spiritual thought for the day.  So i will get to hear conference this next week and am really excited to be able to hear from the prophet.  I can't imagine what it was like to hear all the new revelation live.  That must have been amazing.  I wish I could have heard it live but I will still get to hear it anyways.  So this week has been pretty good.  We have been working pretty hard and we have a great family home evening planned tonight with a member family.  So the one bad thing about this week was the fact that I had food poisoning for a day.  It was a little rough but I got out of it pretty quick.  That day was pretty miserable though.  It might have been all the fat I have been eating lately.  Did I ever tell you that here they sometimes put like solid fat chunks in you food?  They also make like these kebab things and one of the pieces is actually just a huge piece of white fat.  (To be honest it is actually kind of good)  Anyways that shows me I have to not eat big pieces of solid fat as much as i used to but the problem is that if you don't eat their food they get offended so you kind of have to.  So the work is going pretty well.  We found 4 lost sheep this last week which means that they are inactive.  Some haven't come to church for years.  But it is just one facet of the work and that is who we are trying to find at the moment.  So my week has been pretty good.  Well thanks for figuring stuff out at BYU for me.  I know that it is a burden.  Thank you for that.  So this week has been getting cold and we had a little bit of snow flurries today so the winter is coming really quick.  Well i love you and thank you for all the support you are giving me. The church is true and it is wonderful.  This gospel is true and through it we can truly change.  i love you and good luck in everything you do.  Love Elder Williams

Dear Little Girls,

So this week has been pretty good.  All of Mongolia is buzzing about the whole 19 year old sisters that can now come out on a mission.  At first it was a little weird to quite accept but than I realized that heck, I'm young too.  I also thought to the scripture in D&C which states that the gospel will be declared by the weak things of the world.  And that is us for sure.  Anyways so that was really cool to hear despite the fact that I haven't actually seen it yet.  SO I write about my week a little more in my big letter which you may of course read but I just love to talk about the things in your lives because it is so cool to see you all growing up.  so Caelen it sounds like you did fine in drivers ed.  Didn't you like the simulators.  It is just like sitting behind a cardboard box watching TV.  It really is such a joke.  anyway that is sooo cool.  So if you want to get out more you should just go on a date.  What?!!!!  Did I just say that?!!  You can do it just relax and ask a boy to one of the girl's choice dances.  So anyway that is cool.  Rachel, you are just as cute as ever.  I am so glad that you listened well to conference.  It is so cool to see you learning all of those really spiritual things.  You just now need to apply them and then they will benefit you the rest of your life.  You are growing up so much and it scares me a little.  Stop!!!  :)   So Rebecca I am very impressed by your sensitivity.  You really knew what you were writing because it was what I wrote.  You are growing too. I can see it in every email that you send.  So girls the Lord is trying to speed up this work.  That is why he has made it so 19 year old men and women can go and serve the Lord.  It is really neat to see.  It truly showed me that the Lord is guiding this church and that our prophet is truly receiving revelation in the church's behalf.  I was reading out of D&C a few days ago and I found some really cool scriptures that just made me realize just how amazing our gospel really is.  The scripture is D&C 128:19-24. Read it and tell me your thoughts on it. It is so cool to realize just how amazing our gospel really is.  It is almost like right out of a fantasy book.  We should forever shout for joy to know that we were blessed to come to this earth and be born in a family where this truth was taught.  I literally am filled with so much gratitude when I think about it.  This gospel is true.  This church is true.  The power of God is truly here upon the earth and we have the opportunity to see it everyday.  I love you so much and have a wonderful week!!!  Love Elder Williams

Dear Mom and Dad,
So this week has been really good.  My school I teach at is actually quite far away from our house and so it takes a lot of time but normally it is not a huge deal.  So we will see general conference on the 13 and 14 of October.  It is a little wait but it should be really interesting to watch.  There is actually quite a scare over here in Mongolia about whether the world is going to perish this December or not.  There are a whole bunch of theories going around and even church members are thinking something will happen.  In fact I talked to one returned missionary who is inactive and he said that America is preparing to go to war with aliens at the end of the year. The only slightly creepy thing is that he was 100 percent believing in it.  so it has caused many Mongolians to stop and think whether they are going in the right direction or not.  I think that in the end it will help our missionary work.  So that is the way things are here over in Mongolia.  My companion actually asked me if the whole America and aliens thing was true and lets just say I played a little bit with his mind.  Of course I told him after that this was a lie but it was a little funny to kid around with him.  SO anyway we are just having a good time over here in Mongolia.  So anyways it sounds like you are all having a great time over in America.  It has been really fun to see you all grow from this side of the world.  I am so glad that our family has been sealed together in the temple.  As I was thinking I realized that the times I have been the most happy is when I was living the gospel with my family.  Thank you so much for setting the examples that you have.  I love you and wish you the best of luck in everything you do.
Love Elder Williams

PS.  So I forgot to type a little bit about something that has been kind of bothering my mind.  I hope you don't think that I am not working hard here but I realized that in a year I want to go to college and the hard thing is that I can't really do it here from Mongolia.  So I was wondering if you could just kind of see if that kind of thing is possible to do from home and if so I would really appreciate it.  I don't really know what to say other than the fact that I feel like right after my mission I need to go to BYU.  So anyways just kind of surf around a little and see what you come up with.  Please and if not don't worry I can always go and wait a semester like I had originally planned.  I love you and thanks a lot.

SO Dear Little Sisters,
It is so nice to hear from all of you as always.  I love getting your letters whether they be big or small.  So this week has been pretty good.  Me and my new companion are doing great so far and we have found a lot of new people to teach.  Our work so far has been pretty successful and we have another really golden investigator who really wants to join our church.  So that is a great thing about this week.  So I am also just getting used to my new companion who is really a nice guy.  We are the same group so neither of us is senior or junior which is actually kind of nice.  Our Bishops daughter was baptized this week which was really fun to see.  Also I got to play some basketball today before I taught English which was so nice since I haven't been able to do it much since I came to Mongolia.  So that has been my week.  So it sounds like your week was pretty good.  So Caelen, I am so proud that you got your permit.  Whether you say you want to drive or not I know that eventually you will come to love it.  Just don't drive too fast.  :)  Also Caelen, school is what we make it and if we have a bad day some of that depends on us and how we react to it. Just don't worry and Caelen take and use the advice you always give.  Just keep smiling.  So Rachel,  sounds like you had a rough day but don't worry those days are just things that everybody goes through.  let it go and just have a good time.  anyway just remember that your days are better than you think they are.  Always remember to ask Heavenly Father for help.  He is always there and will literally give you strength to move on and do the things that you need to do.  Also just keep on reading.  It is good for you and you can always learn new words and concepts through reading.  By the way make a rocking chair.  That would be really cool.  So Rebecca, sounds like your week was pretty good.  I loved having the opportunity to hear devotionals every week back in the MTC and always takes notes when you go to one.  There is so much the Spirit can teach you through other people and the talks they give.  By the way great job on your music test and it sounds like you did well on the other one too.  You have always been awesome.  :)  So also you are living the college life.  What a popular little thing you are?!!!!   :)  I love you all and I wish you all the best of luck and just know that your brother is preparing for another Mongolian winter.  I love you and good luck.  Love Elder Williams

Dear Kristalyn,     So it sounds like your life is doing pretty good.  Right now I am really having a good time being with my new companion.  He is pretty good and we are doing quite a bit of work.  We have a few new investigators on the way and hopefully we can get one of our investigators baptized in the next few weeks.  So it sounds like your week was awesome.  By the way Odmaa's last name is Dechin or something like that but I don't know if that will help or not. (You might have to write Dechin Odmaa because sometimes there last names are first) I will ask her the next time I meet with her and then you can chat with her.  So it sounds fun that you went over to Springville.  Those were really good times.  I read an interesting article in the Liahona last week and I suggest that you read it.  It was such a great message for me and I think it would be good for you to.  It is titled, "Good things keep on coming"  Anyway so I don't know about the whole VISA thing yet but it seems like I might be okay but I will for sure tell you next week whether to send me money or not.  I can just see you as a little ninja just cleaning houses.  You must have looked so cute.  SO that is also cool that you will be one of Becca's bridesmaids.  I hope you have a blast with that.  So anyway you life does sound pretty awesome.  So my life is really been just about the same.  I am getting really used to Mongolia and I am really just living the missionary life.  it is kind of weird because it is just the way I have been living life but after the mission will be strange for a while.  I just can't believe that I am already a year and almost 2 months into my mission.  I am almost finished and I don't like the sound of that.  So my new companion as I said before is good and we are having a great time.  SO just know that nothing new is really happening right now other than just the work.  Oh by the way there was a guy that told me that all of America is about to go to war with aliens.  That was an interesting experience.  So that is pretty cool.  Well I love you and good luck in everything you do.  Love Elder Williams

So Dear Mom and Dad,
So late last night I got a new companion.  He just flew in from a town called Khovd and his name is Elder Enkhtaivan.  He is a really cool guy and hopefully we should have a lot of great new memories in Unur.  So this day has been pretty good.  It is a little more hectic being with a Mongolian but I should fit in just fine. I was happy to learn just how well you are both doing.  It sounds like you are all having a blast.  So Dad, it sounds like though the rock trip was great you are happy to be home.  It was cool to know that you got to get some cool rock though.  So Mom it sounds like you kind of had a busy week also.  Just don't talk to people to much or you will get just as tired as dad is.  SO the work here is going well.  Odmaa has just discovered the Mormon.org and is watching like all the possible videos she can on it.  She actually speaks really good English and that is because she lived in India for 5 years.  well I am doing well here and we should be hopefully setting a baptismal date with about 3 new investigators or at least I am hoping that.  I still have to show my new companion around the area so that will be fun.  Anyways so that is really all the new things that happened this week.  English is still as hectic as ever but if I prepare well I don't really have to worry too much.  The hardest thing is just balancing missionary work and English.  Well that is really all there is this week.  I will send my pictures of Odmaa next week hopefully and that is actually her baptism.  So I am so glad you got the shoes for me.  That will come in handy soo much because my other shoes are doing well but during the winter they have no grip whatsoever.  I literally slip on just solid tile because the bottom sole freezes like a rock.  Well it feels like winter is getting nearer and so I'm just not wanting to experience a supposed really cold Mongolian winter.  All the Mongolians are saying that this winter is supposed to be colder than last year.  Well we will see when it comes to it.  So just know that your son is doing well over here in Mongolia and though I admit I don't have much to write today just know that I am doing fine over here.  I love you so much and I wish you the best of luck.  Love Elder Williams

Dear Little Sisters,
It is so nice to be able to hear from all of you this week.  Yes Rebecca I got your other email to no worries.  Anyways, this week really hasn't had a lot of changes other than I am now with a new companion named Elder Enkhtaivan.   He is a good elder and we should hopefully have a lot of success together.  Anyways I'm sorry that I won't write a lot this week but being with a Mongolian companion does shorten internet time a little.  So just know that my week was pretty good.  Well it sounds like all of you are doing well.  Caelen I heard about how you will flirting with a boy at the ward party.  You are so cute!!!!  :)  Also those simulators are really a joke in the disguise of a really cool scary word.  Don't worry about them.  You will do fine.  So Rachel that is so cool that you could go to the temple dedication.  I am so glad that you were able to watch the dedication and be able to remember it.  so Rebecca you and your new iphone sounds really cool and I did get your email.  You just keep showing those BYU professors who you really are. They will be begging to give good grades to you.  anyways girls just remember that I love you all and good luck in everything that you do.  I love you all.  Love Elder Williams

Dear Kristalyn,
So this week has been pretty good.  I got a new companion and everything seems to be going pretty good so far.  So anyway I really don't have much to write about this week but just know that I am doing fine over here.  SO if you want a penpal I guess you can write Odmaa.  She is 23 years old and is a good new convert of the church.  Just yesterday she had her new calling which was a welcomer.  Yes that calling exists here.  Anyway she did wonderful and she really needed it because she is a little shy.  It was good for her.  Anyway you can write here because she speaks good English and will understand most of what you will write.  So you may write her.  She was trying to go to BYU Provo but she may end up going to the UofU just because it is easier and she has everything she needs to go there.  She has a life goal of seeing the Salt Lake Temple so that should be good for her.  so anyways you may write her if you want to.  You can probably find her on Facebook but I will have to ask her.  anyways that is the way the mission field is.  Hey don't worry about your major everything will be okay.  Hey I love you and just know that you are in my prayers.  Love Elder Williams

Dear Mom and Dad,
Thanks for writing this week and I am so glad to hear from you.
Good work on trying to get those neighbors to come to church. I know
that it didn't work out this time but just keep trying. One thing
that members just don't understand is the huge (and I mean Huuuuuuge)
impact they have on investigators. When members get involved people
are changed. So thank you for that. Well I feel a little bad about
the whole BYU thing but I guess me not being there has made me not
really care to badly. So anyways they will just keep on moving. The
whole mine thing sounds pretty cool and let me know how that goes.
Mining is so huge here that everyone seems to trying to get into the
mining field here. Also good job on teaching that class. that is
always what we try and have is just someone to teach as a backup. Mom
thank you for the great work with visiting teaching. I am so proud to
know that both of my parents are so strong in their callings and
helping others with theirs. So this week I was able to sit in all of
my mission conference which was a blessing. God knew that I needed to
be there and I was able to get the whole thing off from English. We
had Elder Larry Wilson come and talk to us for two days and the whole
thing was wonderful. I felt the spirit so much and was sad that the
whole thing was over. This week I finally had someone come to my
cultural English class and the thing went really well. The reason
being that only two students sat in my class and there are only three
total. I am actually really happy about that because I feel like I
can actually help two people speak English better. I feel like I will
be able to teach them a lot and am sooooo happy. I have always loved
being able to help people one on one and I learned that from helping
the girls with their homework when I was back at home. Just seeing
them light up with understanding is soooo cool. That is also the same
with the gospel. When someone becomes strong in the gospel it just
makes me sooo happy. Our new member Odmaa is doing fine and is making
friends with other young woman in the church and is also sitting in
the institute lessons. She is doing fine and before long will be a
great member. (She still likes to meditate but it seems to slacking
off. So anyways that was really cool. I just am so happy that the
church is true and that through the church we can progress. This life
really is just how close we can come back to living like Jesus christ
and enduring to the end. It is such a hard thing yet a wonderful
thing as we see small signs of progress. This work really is the true
work of the Lord and that we through doing this work can be saved
while saving others. Then when we meet again after this life how
great will be our joy!!! I am so grateful for this work, this church
and the opportunity I have to serve the Lord here in Mongolia. I love
you all and I hope that everything is going well at home. Just know
that your son is having a great time here in Mongolia declaring to the
people that there is a way to happiness. I love you and thank you for
the example you have set for me to go on a mission. I love you and
good luck. Love Elder Williams

Dear Little Sisters,
Thank you so much for writing me this week. So this week has
been really good. I got to sit in all of mission conference and it was
really great. I learned so much and am so thankful I came on a
mission. So nothing really exciting really happened this week except
that I was able to feel the Spirit over mission conference. So,
Rebecca it sounds like you are having a great time. You had better
warn all the U of U fans that you are out for them. I can just see
you with your face dyed blue screaming warrior chants at the top of
your lungs. Now that is a scary sight. Just keep the paint on so it
doesn't get scarier. :) Just kidding!!! So Caelen, you crochet that
tie!! You can do it and make it look great. I will even wear right
when I get it just for you. Well good luck with the cellphone thing.
That sounds kind of ........cool I guess but just know that your
leaders are trying to teach you something so go ready to learn. And
great job and throwing down on frisbee. I always knew that you could
play professionally. So Rachel, it is so great to hear from you.
Rachel, don't worry about life moving too fast. It is just something
that happens and I know you might get a little lonely but this gives
you a great chance to make and meet with new friends. You just need
to know that everything will be okay and just breathe. Life is cool.
Everything in life has something new to learn and like about it. Just
do your best and you will be fine. So one thing I learned this week
was just how we always need to be striving to be like Jesus Christ.
We always need to follow his example and become more like him. I know
that if we try this we can always learn from it. If we just try
everyday we will learn more. So just keep on trying little girls.
You are all so lucky to be born in this church. The church is true.
Always remember that and if you don't have a testimony of it just ask
Heavenly Father and he will give it to you. If you have a testimony
remember it. Don't ever forget it and know that it was a piece of
truth that you received from heaven. The church isn't just some
church, the church is literally truth. We don't teach just doctrine,
we teach truth. When we receive a testimony we don't just learn new
things, we learn truth. I love you all and never forget this. All the
things in this gospel are true. Always remember that there is no
other way but through the gospel. I love you all once again and good
luck with all the things you are doing. Keep Smiling!!!! Love Elder

Dear Kristalyn,
So sorry but today you won't get pictures but know that it will
happen soon.  so thank you for telling me about your friend.  I
appreciate your frankness but the thing we always have to remember is
that when someone repents they become a different person.  I won't
type much about my week this week but I want to share with you
something I learned at mission conference.  Why do we need the gospel?
This was one of the questions posed at mission conference.  I really
didn't know why but this was one of the things they wanted to ask us.
The thing they told us kind of surprised me.  It is not to live a
happy life even though this is one of the rewards we have.  It isn't
just to follow some set of rules.  It is actually there so we can
change.  God's whole purpose behind this gospel is to change.  One
scripture states the the gospel is the power to change.  Through the
gospel we can actually change from the natural man and become a saint.
We can only truly change through the gospel of Jesus Christ which is
faith, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and
enduring to the end.  Kristalyn, the amazing thing about this gospel
is it gives us a chance.  No matter how horrible things we have done,
no matter how much we think that we a natural man, no matter just how
many times we realize that we are too weak, the gospel is there.  It
gives us a chance to become something completely different.  We can
literally become just like Jesus Christ.  That is our goal and our
example.  We need to be and follow Jesus Christ's example.  For that
reason was he lifted up before men, so we could look to him. He is
truly our example and our Savior and no matter how often I think
about the times that I committed sin I remember that he knows.  He
knows my pain my weaknesses my everything and in that I can literally
say I rejoice.  He can help me grow, help me crawl out of the natural
man and become who I need to be.  I love you Kristalyn, and I want you
to know that everything I just wrote is true.  Christ literally lives
today and IS guiding this church.  Trust in him and life will have a
purpose and a reason and always remember you have received this
testimony too.  and I know you have.  Feel with your heart but don't
remember with it.  Only the mind can remember well.  Remember with
your mind the testimonies you have received.  We can not always feel
the Spirit because we are after all a mortal but know that you can
always remember the things you know with your mind. I love you and
good luck.  I know that everything will be alright for you.  I have
seen you grow soooo much.  Keep up the good work and the Lord will
bless you.  I love you and good luck.  Love Elder Williams
